A real jewel of a restaurant - located by a church just a few miles away from bigger Astorga. We had excellent gizzards, some of the best I have ever had, and brilliant hot plate steaks and other entrees. There are excellent value wines as well from some less known regions in Spain.Service was very friendly and professional. I live in London and am from Barcelona, two places with great food, and this was one of the most memorable dinners that I have had in a very long time.

Familiar restaurant of homemade food and tipical spanish
We ate here twice and were impressed by both the service and quality of the food. The head waiter was very friendly and accomodating, whilst also very tolerant of our primitive Spanish. We had a good value and satisfying menu del dia on one day - steak in my case and fish for my wife - great. On another day I simply wanted a cheese and onion sandwich (you know what it is like when there is something that you simply HAVE to eat?) and it was spot on together with a nice cold glass of beer. A tuna salad did the trick for my wife.A great place to stop for a cheap and satisfying lunch.

AIZKORRI is a modern venue where the best culinary traditions of Spain are shared in both formats and products. This melting pot of traditions is reflected in the careful selection of pintxos (hot and cold), a varied menu of sea and mountains, which also
After all the good reviews I was pretty disappointed with the service. We sat down placed a drink order and then had to call the waiter over 20 minutes later as he had forgotten the order. Food was ok when it came but cod tapas was bland. Tuna better. Then we asked for the bill. We waited and waited again forgotten. It was not that busy and they all had flash iPads to order off but not sure it made them any more efficient. Overall food ok service 2/10.
