We had already eaten so stopped in to listen to the music and have an after dinner drink. Wasn't. Impressed with wine selection but did enjoy the 70s/80s band.

Our menu is filled with classic American dishes like steak, salmon, burgers, sandwiches and salads, as well as other traditional favorites like slow-roasted prime rib and our famous chicken tenders, all at a great value.

We were staying at the Fairfield Inn and this is just down the road. When we got there we found there was a waiting list. We were able to be seated immediately in the bar and the full menu was offered. I had Cedar Plank Salmon and it was done perfectly. My wife ordered Fish and Chips. She asked what it would cost to add Cole slaw and the waitress, Katie K, said it came with one side so there was no extra charge. So the fish came out with slaw but no fries. If you order Fish and Chips, the chips are considered a side. Never heard of that before.Mostly a good experience.

When we entered a patron loudly proclaimed “ get the calamari “.We did. Good call. It was not overcooked or tough as is often the case. Marinara and chili sauce that came with it were good. The menu said best calamari in Cincinnati and maybe it is, but the is not much in the way of competition. The shrimp was a serious disappointment. It was the same kind of generic shrimp served at fast food places that is poured out of a bag from Kroger’s. The French fries were not very fresh. Oysters were as good as any my wife has had anywhere. The garlic bread was as good as any 4 star Italian place I have patronized. Garlic bread was considered a side and was overpriced. The other patrons were at various stages of inebriation and were very loud. While the server was okay, she was slow and inattentive. We will be back to try again, but no shrimp.

A good option in Beechmont area, for which there are mainly fast food option, Arthur's is a nice sit down cafe with salads, burgers and sandwiches. Friendly attentive service is a highlight - you are made to feel very welcome. There is a good selection of craft beers on tap and mixed drinks. The food overall is good. The burger choices are endless, many options and you can customize. I had a good, sizeable bacon and blue cheese burger, although my medium rare was more raw than rare unfortunately. I had a side Caesar salad instead of fries which was overall ok, the dressing a bit tart. Overall, a good option in the area.

My wife and I walked in on a wednesday evening shortly after 5pm when they opened for dinner. We decided to sit at a table in the bar area and someone quickly came over and greeted us and asked about drinks. I ordered a craft beer and my wife had a bud light and water. The drinks were quickly delivered and our food order was taken. After a short wait and some nice conversation with our server our food arrived. My wife said her bacon-angus burger and french fries were both very good. My vegetarian sandwich and pub chips were also very good. In fact, I've been eating vegetarian food for over 20 years and this vegetarian sandwich may have been as good as, or better, than any I have ever had. We definitely will be back to Mckenna's for another meal!Thank you for the 5* review - we are glad you enjoyed your meal!
