Just love this gem. Have been several times and never disappointed. Food always good, great service and good setting close to Lauro Golf. It is low season for golf at this time so no problem in booking for Sunday lunch, but if you want to come here earlier or later (Spring/Autumn) in the year, make sure you book (phone (0034) 653010298 - this will save you having having to search for it on the web). Lots of our friends come here, even those not so 'local' as it is worth the drive. Prices very good, for food and wine. Will continue to visit time and time again.Thank you for your lovely review. But telephone number is (0034) 653 010 208
MUM BAI CLUB is something more than a new concept, if you really want to enjoy with your friends or family.. From an amazing evening or night, this is your place.

Lovely restaurant located in Mijas Pueblo. The new owners are both professional chefs who take pride in the food they serve and their customer service.
I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Kevin and Marlene are wonderful hosts and chefs and there is a warm and friendly feel to the place. We dined there for the first time since it changed hands last week and enjoyed it so much we made sure we ate there again before our holiday ended. I had the sausage and mash on the first day and it was absolutely delicious ! Usually, my wife and i would share a pudding but they all looked so delicious that we had to have one to ourselves each. We then went back again for Curry Night on the Thursday and had another great meal. And for the quality of food and ambiance that you get it is great value for monay as well. This restaurant deserves to be a great success under the new owners and we look forward to going back on many future occassions.

Located in a part of Alhaurin el Grande overwhelmed with small and affordable little Spanish bars, Tia Rosa did not stick out to us at first as somewhere to visit. However, when Zeppelin next door was closed one evening and this place was not, my friends and I figured that we would give it a try. Inside, the decoration is stripped back and basic, though a little bit prettier than its neighbour. The bar staff saw us come in, and weren't particularly busy, but it still took a long time to get served because they spent so much time standing around chatting and watching each other pour drinks instead of pouring them themselves. The beers were cheap, at â¬1 each for a cana, but then again it is only a cana so the size is fairly small and it works out to around â¬3 a pint the same as a lot of places in the area - though not as cheap as some; not as expensive as others. The staff were friendly even if the service was slow, and even though I go in there only sometimes they still say hello when I pass them on the street. At one point on our first visit, the waiter said something about a round of free beers; the next time we went up to order he seemed to have forgotten about this though, so maybe it was something lost in translation. They have a reasonably sized food menu for such a tiny kitchen visible adjacent to the bar. Some of the options looked nice enough, and others sounded pretty weird/unpleasant from the menu description (coming from two chefs in our party), but I would definitely go back to try it. It's not a bar I would go back to and visit regularly, but if you find yourself in Alhaurin passing it, or if nowhere else is open, it's a pretty good place to go with reasonable prices and late hours.

Located in the turistic center of Mijas pueblo, We're waiting for you !!
Wasnât our first choice in Mijas, but as it turned out, it was a great choice. Really nice, inexpensive tapas. Good wine, with an informed waiter who recommended a very reasonably priced wine. If youâre hungry youâll need 3 plates each. If not only 2. Good value all round.

Chema' offers a comfortable atmosphere with a warm welcome to make feel at home. We offer the best of wines by the glass - or bottle if you prefer! along with the finest local cheese, breads and Iberian ham. With puzzles on every table and a library of bo
We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere of Chemaâs wine bar and returned quite a few times, also Chemaâs Terrace just down the road. On Sundays there is live entertainment at the wine bar and on Fridays at the terrace, so thereâs lots going on. Chemaâs is a really nice person, puts his heart and soul into his business. Great wine and tapas. Well worth a visit.

Restaurang Sardina Alhaurin el Grande Spain
We stayed in the apartments above the restaurant so naturally we visited the restaurant a few times. The people who worked here were very patient with our limited Spanish. The tapas was delicious, as were the drinks and the main meals. Everything was a decent price. The outside sitting area is lovely and the aesthetic of the street really makes a difference when you are sat having dinner. Will definitely be returning when we come back to Alhaurin.

We are a bar & restaurant serving great value delicious food. We serve both South African, British & International dishes.
We stopped off for lunch having driven past on many occasions. Easy parking, good welcome albeit in English, shown to a table on the terrace and ordered a drink again all in English. We were surprised about this. We decided to have the menu of the day for 12â¬. We chose the mackerel salad to start and beef stew for main cooked in a small traditional pot called a Potjie. Just a few things missing, no bread with the meal but when we asked they provided it, no oil and vinegar but again was provided in small dishes and no olives on the table. I only mention this because if you go into any Spanish restaurant thatâs normally what they provide. The service was good and the staff friendly but we were a bit disappointed that it is all very English. The meals were very tasty and we both enjoyed the food very much.
