We were looking for some food while at the Alameda Theater and unfortunately, popcorn and hotdogs did not seem at all appealing. Nevertheless, the Cinema grill is adjacent to the Theater and we were allowed to go the the Cinema Grill and order fish tacos. We were given a paging device to let us know when the tacos were ready. When the pager went off we walked back to the Cinema Grill to pick up the tacos along with a nifty tray that worked with the Theater seats. The tacos were very good although certainly not the best I have ever had. One of my companions continued to rave about them though.

Enjoyed our sausages on the waterfront. Delicious juicy cooked to perfection sausages with an abundance of sauerkraut and mustard. Also enjoyed fieldwork beer. The German comfort food hit the spot but unfortunately the tables and benches were filthy and sticky. My wife wore white pants and when she stood up to go had a collage on her back side.

The Forge Menu Donât be fooled by the reputation of our pizza; our locations also serve an impressive collection of sandwiches, appetizers, soups, and more. Our menus present choices that include plates to share, salads and fruits, steaks and burgers, fis
After sightseeing around Jack London's Square we all agreed on pizza and decided to stop at Forge Pizza en route to the ferry. Service was fast and pizza and beer very good. We decided to sit outdoors with a nice view of the harbor. It was a pleasant late lunch without a crowd on a Saturday afternoon.

I love the bartender, Dave, that works there. He's always awesome and makes a great drink! It's a fun place to go with a group of friends and play board games, sit outside on their small sidewalk patio, or just have some happy hour drinks at the bar. The food is typically very good, although sometimes inconsistent. They have half off oysters during happy hour too!

After hearing rave reviews of this place for the last couple years, friends and I met here last week. I wasn't expecting much tiki-style atmosphere, having been to another East Bay Tiki bar in Oakland on Piedmont Avenue. Great surprise: Forbidden Island is fantastic!!!! Great energy, much fun, loads of things to see, including a humongous tiki in the small parking area behind the bar.We sat outside on the patio, then took our drinks inside at 9 pm. I've read a few reviews which mentioned poor service, but it must have improved, because everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. We didnt wait long for our drinks or the small plates (fries, guacamole/chips, and fried calamari, which were all fine). The drinks were excellent. I got a painkiller--delicious!!! ( FYI: he painkiller was in honor of the Soggy Dollar Bar in the British Virgin Islands. The bar was obliterated by Hurricane Irma, but it, like all the Virgin Islands which have survived two horrible hurricanes in September, will rise again!!)Thanks to the energetic staff and the bartender who mixed excellent drinks for our little group of old friends.

The menu still covers a variety of great food. The awesome (reliable) sandwiches have disappeared... so sad to not have that deliciousness available to us. Please bring it back! They have added good looking BBQ. Burgers are as ridiculously good and huge as ever. Everything is made to order, so might take a while.

This is a frequent stop for me when I've worked late and would rather have someone else cook for me! Everything I've tried has been wonderful, but a couple favorites are the Greek Wings and the Mac & Cheese & Bacon. :) Yummy! Everyone is friendly - both staff and other customers - and everything is reasonably priced. If you end up over here on the weekend they have brunch from 9am to 2pm, with $10 bottomless mimosas.

East Bay Restaurant Wins in 2006 "BEST WINE LISTS IN AMERICA" Competition. Quinn's Lighthouse Restaurant was awarded the Grand Prize in the Short List Category by Restaurant Hospitality Magazine. The Judges found Quinn's List "SHORT and SWEETâ with well c
Server was great as was the view and the extensive beer on tap menu. Cioppino was not good. Scallops, mussels and clams were good. Shrimp were tough and likely from cooking all day. Calamari was so tough it was inedible. Broth was ok but lacking any real zing. Tons of seafood, though, and I could not finish even though I skipped some per above. Expensive. Wonât be back.

Wonderful authentic german restaurant. We have very few traditional german restaurants here in the bay area...fortunately for us, Speisekammer is close enough that e can make it a regular part of our dining experience, while being good enough to make it a rewarding experience. We started our meal with the appetizer Kleine Nurnberger Bratwurstchen, six small wursts served with sauerkraut. For my entree I ordered the Schweinhocke, (special item not on the standard menu.) My wife ordered the small Wiener Schnitzel with roasted potatoes. Both meals were prepared well. There are many beers available on tap, I selected a Kolsch ale, my wife went for a french Sauvignon blanc. All in all, you can't go wrong if you like good german food.
