Excellent tasty food and well priced.Inside walls could do with a clean as grease marks across them, but nothing major. Service is very efficient. We had the lamb chops speciality, and a couple of chicken dishes. All very tasty and well seasoned.Hi Sarah, thank you for leaving us a review. We are really pleased that you enjoyed the food and service and hope to see you again soon.

Great family run restaurant, decent menu for all strengths of curries, we had starters and a mild chicken and a hot lamb curry which were both excellent. We bought a bottle of red at a nearby supermarket for a fiver as we knew the premises does not have a license so again excellent value. Would happily recommendHello thereGreat review, thank you so much! A family of six, four main meals and several sides ordered via "Just Eat"What arrived was four dishes of vegetable slurry, with added flavourings. Rogan Josh was mango chutney and tomato ketchup thrown in, Korma tasted overwhelmingly of cornflour, Bhuna was bland and tasteless, and a Pathia was indescribably awful. Complaining to the shop was pointless, yes their curries did have an "individual flavour", all four of them bore no resemblance to either many years of experience cooking and eating curries, or to the photographs on the menu, but the voice on the end of the phone could not have cared any less about our complaint. The same comments appear regularly on the Just Eat reviews page, does the restaurant have a fill-in chef to cover for days off? Thank you 'Just Eat' for the discount voucher, at least you care whether you deliver quality food.

Edinburgh's Voujon, translated as invitation to dine, has been serving Indian and Bengali food in the Newington area of the city since 2005. The bright, airy and contemporary dining area, complete with simple floral displays and leather seating which invi
Really good menu with a wide choice, and while dishes had plenty of flavour they were mercifully lacking in excessive grease or fat - which Indian food can be prone towards. Good staff too. The restaurant looks fresh, modern and with some lovely large lamp shades hanging from the ceiling. Why I do not give it excellent is that those beautiful soft large lamps were not on, and instead there was very harsh bright lighting from the ceiling. This robbed the restaurant of any ambience. So easily remedied. And maybe that night whoever was in charge didn't realise how important lighting is. Otherwise an excellent evening.Dear TiggyWalkerFirst of all thank you very much for choosing to dine at voujon. Our Voujon family is truly happy to read your constructive review on TripAdvisor regarding your dining experience at Voujon. The way you praised our food and hospitality is given us great joy. Multi-Award winner Bombay Lounge is truly highly recommended. Situated in Dalkeith, Edinburgh this Indian and Bangladeshi restaurant really made me miss home. On arrival for our 7 pm booking, we were greeted by friendly staff. Once seated, Michael Singh (owner of the restaurant) came over and introduced himself and welcomed us. What a vibrant man, for an owner to be working side by side with his staff and connecting with his guest, is the #1 secret in bringing your guest back time and time again. Within seconds our friendly waiter provided our menu's. We not only had an amazing dinner but the close attention to detail, cleanliness and service were of top quality. So glad my sister chose Bombay Lounge, being away from home for more than 2 months I really missed my Durban, SA curry and I enjoyed the best curry ever last night. As an ex-hospitality industry owner, I experience once again the love and passion an owner has for his restaurant, staff and guests. Thank you once again for a lovely meal and evening.

I was recommended to eat here by my host at Rathan House, B + B. A smart restaurant, with freshly starched, white tablecloths and a pleasant ambience. I enjoyed a mild lamb curry (can't recall exactly which one) with spinach bajee. Good food, well-presented. I accompanied it with a pint of Kingfisher.Had a long chat with the proprietor who knew Cambridge well - my nearest city. A very pleasant, straightforward man.Strongly recommended.Hello John, it was a pleasure to host you and I'm glad you had an excellent experience at Itihaas. Many thanks for taking time out to review Itihaas and write such wonderful compliments. All the best and look forward to a future visit on your return. Thank you.
