We have been visiting this restaurant at least once a month for the past year. The food is delicious and the service is great. It's a little pricey in comparison with other local Indians, but it's certainly worth it. Easily the best curry in the Crowborough area.

Despite being the first people of the evening the service was slow. The vegetable in our jalfrezi meals were just about cooked. Nice nan bread and excellent pilau rice but the main courses were disappointing. Overall the whole meal was overpriced and expected a higher standard for main courses, there seems to be a lack of competition in the area.

The Newick Tandoori is a long established Indian restaurant situated in a beautiful and sophisticated setting of Newick Village.
We had a takeway costing over £72 on saturday 2nd March, and out of the party of 5, 3 had terrible stomach cramps and felt very sick, with diarrhea, one person was so ill they had bloody diarrhea, which the doctor confirmed from samples of stools and urine that it was food poisioning. We all live in separate households so it had to be the takeaway. I phoned the tandoori to speak to Sham the Manager but he was unable to speak to me when they asked why I was calling, so I had no choice but to viisit them, as they needed to know. Sham completely denied it, and I was told off for coming into his restuarant accusing him. Not only was my daughter very ill, but a rude and arrogant man shouting at me. I never once raised by voice and was very diplomatic, I just needed them to know as they would not speak to me over the phone. Considering I live opposite them, this is the treatment from the neighbours!!Hi, This is the first time ever we have got a complaint like this after 32 years. We have had no evidence from a doctor of food poisoning hence the reason why we are baffled. We have not even heard of the food samples or urine samples. We love to hear positive and negative feedback so that we can improve all the time. However we do not take feedback which is of wrong doing and business damaging. We had a 5 star review from the health team in the recent few weeks and we have also maintained high standards. So please be genuine while writing a review. Please think twice about calling the owner arrogant as the meeting started off in a professional manor. We treated you with respect and offered you drink before commencing the meeting as well however angry moment will always occur when false accusations are being thrown at your established business without evidence and this is the case for anyone.

A local favourite in the small East Sussex town of Uckfield, Zeera Indian Restaurant is centrally located on the High Street. With its friendly, obliging service from well turned out waiting staff and cosy, comfortable and unpretentious surroundings, it
Just been to Zeeras, empty apart from us and one other table. Took ages to take our order, too busy with takeaway, didn't get what I ordered. Food was ok, shame it wasn't what I wanted but not bad. Then had to go to the bar to ask for bill as no one was around. A real shame as I've always liked it before.

I have experienced a great number of Indian /Asian takeaway outlet across both East and West Sussex because of the nature of my employment.I believe this is the best quality ( and certainly size of portions) I have ever experienced. Whenever I visit the shop - and I find I am even tending to go out of my way to use this outlet and return to overnight accommodation - it is always exceptionally busy but orders are dealt with very quickly and quality is clearly not affected.Prices are mid range compared to other similar outlets, I have never noticed differences in quality when no.2 or no. 3 chef is preparing meals ( which is bound to occur) which is quite different to many other outlets experienced.Thay have recently introduced home delivery which I feel is testament to the quality of their food.

This is by far the best Indian Restaurant I have ever eaten at and this visit didn't disappoint on that score either. If I had one gripe it would be that the Sheek Kebab was not as hot as I would have liked, even after I asked for it to be reheated. Having said that, I still highly recommend this place; if you haven't been yet, go! The staff did absolutely nothing wrong, but I didn't find the serving staff particularly friendly nor interested in our comfort, and this would usually put me off, but because of the wonderful food, I simply don't care. The staff could do with some lessons in how to make people feel welcome in their establishment, but whether the do or don't, I'm still returning!

I love the staff at the Rajdutt, warm and inviting people, but many years back, they changed the layout of the restaurant to an open plan, and it has to be one of the most awful changes they could have made.. It is so uninviting, I'm amazed others don't comment on it..The last thing I want is to see them go under, but they really need to look at other restaurants out there, as the world is moving on.Sorry, but the food also needs a bit of help.., these days where the competition is so strong, you must try to keep up or you will miss the boat.. You only need to look at the food at the Simply Indian - Wadhurst, maybe use that as a benchmark for where they need to be.., equally the Blue Asia just down the road, does excellent food..But By far and away, the layout needs to be changed, its like sitting in someones front room, with the lights turned on full...

As we were at the nearby cinema we called in again for a meal, as we usually do on Picture House visits. It was a very quiet night but the service and food were as good as ever. It's become a reliable venue to us. It's also had a makeover inside. We'll be back I'm sure.
