Had a teatime meal and everything was cooked beautifully and very large portions. One of our fussy guests wanted chicken tikka with a lamb mince sauce on top not on the menu and the chef made it specially and it was wonderful. Great when a restaurant goes that extra mile. Not a local but will be back. Thank you.

Sale is well served by restaurants, so you have to stand out to be noticed. Princess of Hearts did... not necessarily for the right reasons! Amongst the classic dishes are such gems as ‘helicopter rice’ (nope, don’t know either). I chanced my arm and ordered it to be presented with... pilau rice. Bizarre. Food is edible but we won’t be returning, as there is a plethora of other restaurants in the vicinity.

I took my partner here last night after reading some excellent reviews on here. The staff were lovely but the atmosphere was dire and it was the most unappealing restaurant I have been to in Chorlton, Food, nothing special, presentation unappetising. We were in and out within the hour never to return. Disappointing evening.

I have bin going here for a while now and because it was so good I travel all the way from Eccles just to have a fab curry.the last 2times I have bin Has bin very disappointed with the curry doesn’t seem the same anymore.dont no what has gone wrong seem like different Cheff doesn’t even look to same food.i will no be going back there from now on.

Without a doubt,best curry house in Manchester.Food is outstanding and service is on the top level,just brilliant.Love eating in at this place and they also deliver which is an added bonus as I’m within the three mile radius for delivery.Food is consistent whether you eat in or have it delivered to your door.Very reasonably priced,can’t find fault.

As it was Sunday, it was best to book, and a good job we did as it was incredibly busy, this is probably due to the special Sunday buffet that Essence offers. We don't usually go for this and normally order from the main menu or have ours "custom" made. We've been going here for years and its always a very high standard. It may not be in the heart of Altrincham but is worth the small walk, as the service is always great as is the food.

We have been visiting the Massala Lounge for years both as a couple and later as a family. The service is good and the food is delicious. The menu consists of all the favourites you would expect to find on an Indian menu. The portions are a good size. The poppodums are always warm, crisp and fresh with a great chutney tray selection. My favourite Indian restaurant in the area.

Celebrated a 50th Birthday with friends. Our party of 16 were seated upstairs and despite it being a full house upstairs and downstairs and also catering for another large birthday party we couldn’t fault the food and service as per usual. We wouldn’t go anywhere else! Would highly recommend to anyone

First time visit with Family, the place was full early evening. Shown to are table very quick which we had reserve, menu and drinks followed very quick. We ordered 8 different curries with an assortment of rice and nan bread. No complaints from anyone.The staff where friendly and helpful, we never felt rushed at anytime. The place was clean and tied. Will be going again.
