Jaipur of Chigwell - Fine Indian Cuisine: we provide sit-down restaurant, take-away and external catering services to Chigwell, Woodford, Woodford Bridge and surrounding areas.
Place has a general feel of being just a little tired. Toilets are poor. But letâs get to the food , popadums were oily and not properly cooked. Pickles were average at best and amounted to 3 bowls of tasteless green, red something but little mint or chilli so hard to say what they were. Cheap mango chutney and an onion mixed with a chilli jam perhaps?Starters , main course both arrived at the same time which was very odd. Special mixed kebab was ok. King prawn and lamb chop were good, chicken and lamb tikka not quite so as clearly not marinated sufficiently Colleagues both had korma and whilst they assured me it tasted nice , was a very pale strange colour. My lamb dish was nice and spicy not too hot despite 3 chillis on the menu and probably the star of the show. Chepatis and nan breads average. All in all not great and with plenty of competition around I wouldnât be rushing back Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that we did not live up to your expectations on this occasion but have taken on board your comments. We will investigate why this may have happened and implement any changes necessary. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.

Went there last night as a group of six. We had a range of starters, all of which were very good, particularly the lamb chops. For main courses we had king prawn madras, lamb curry, chicken tikka masala, and others. All were well cooked with generous quantities of prawns / chicken / meat. Friendly and helpful staff without being at all intrusive. A most enjoyable evening.
