Excellent value for money, we went for the £9.95 Sunday (and Wednesdays) deal. Poppadoms (but pay a small charge for pickle tray) a starter a main and a choice from rice, chips or nann bread, ice cream or coffee. Plenty as well and really tasty with good staff and a nice atmosphere.

We love visiting Sylhety Balti, our family have been doing so for 14 years now. We have spent many an evening celebrating birthdays and anniversaries here, its an ideal place to get together with family and friends.The staff are so friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble for these guys. They are very family friendly, its my childrens favourite restaurant!The food is delicious and so tasty, the portions sizes are generous. The prices are very reasonable too.We like the fact that you can bring your own beer and wine as this definitely helps keep the cost down.You cannot fault this Indian restaurant, the staff, food and atmosphere are excellent. They obviously work so hard to make this place successful. We will be visiting again soon!

not been for a while so an impromptu visit. Nice to see the log burner on as quite chilly. Mixed starter was delicious, the chicken tikka especially. Mains really fragrant and freshly cooked. Definitely will be going back soon. Nice level of attentiveness too.

You arrive to a spacious, well decorated restaurant & a genuine friendly welcome from Imran - first impressions count.Great menu, with some interesting 'non-standard' dishes, reasonably priced beers & attentive staff.The food was excellent & full of flavour - so why not the full 5 stars? I have to be honest, U thought the main course portion sizes were a tad on the small size.That said, a great experience at a high quality place & we will definitely return.

I went with a friend and the restaurant was quite busy. We were told it wouldnât be a long wait. We waited an hour and werenât even asked if weâd like a drink while we waited. Eventually we asked when we would be seated. They quickly found us a table which was laid out - on top of a filthy table cloth. The waiter apologised and said he would get it changed - he never did. After waiting half an hour we collared a waiter and asked if we could order. We had to repeat what we wanted about 3 times - eventually just pointing our choices out in the menu. After 15 mins we still didnât have our drinks so yet again we flagged down a waiter. After another 15 mins we asked when our food would arrive. We were asked what weâd ordered then the waiter went off and came back with our order. We also had to chase up our mains. The restaurant was freezing. We sat with our coats on. The food is great - so itâs such a shame the surroundings are so bad and the customer service appalling. I loved this place - but I wonât be back. They need to seriously look at how this restaurant is run.

Been coming here years..last time we came the service was poor along with the food compared to previous visit..put it down to them being busy..so this time.booked early doors..still very poor..was seated and was left.my partner ad to go ask to order..food was ok..maybe for a take out but certainly not restaurant standard..the staff here use to be so nice..dnt know wats happened but wont be returning in an hurry

We love Joy Bangla and have been eating here for many years. We very rarely eat out, only birthdays and special occasions really, but Joy Bangla is our restaurant of choice, every time! What brings us back time and time again is the fantastic service and beautiful food! The Bangla boys are wonderful and make you feel like family! The food is always hot, fresh and tasty!
