This was recommended by our hotel receptionist, and it turned out to be a great experience. Booking is essential, however. The decor is modern but not in your face, and the staff have just the right mix of friendliness and professionalism. The food is excellent, modern style but not crazy haute cuisine. I'd strongly recommend the cream of parmesan and asparagus soup. We both had this, both took our first mouthful at the same time, and it was a "wow" experience. I'm a sucker for a well-made plate of soup. This restaurant is highly recommended. NOTE: they only accept cash - no cards accepted.

Celebrated my husbandâs birthday and our honeymoon at this restaurant. Was pleasantly surprised that they provided a small surprise for my husband and I. Service is extremely friendly, staff recommendations are great. Food is awesome, on the pricey side, but worth it.

We loved this charming place. Only reason I scored it a 4 is because there were quite a few patrons smoking and it can be very bothersome, but that's not really the restaurant's fault. We ordered a small portion of ribs (the large portion can easily serve 2 people) and the grilled turkey with fresh vegetables. Both were very good! Then we both had an apple strudel, which was served warm, with cream, and was the best I've ever had!!!

Excellent service and delicious local food. There were many locals and few tourists when we went, but the attention we got from the staff was superb. If you want authentic local cuisine, this is where to go.

Ströck Feierabend is a modern spin-off of the well-known Austrian bakery chain Ströck. This new bistro type restaurant mixes traditional bakery with food and wine in a bio-friendly, simple clean-cut décor. The aim of the owners is sustainability, thus they are working with regional high quality products that have low ecological impact. Following their philosophy I had their spring salad and the Feierabend eggs with spinach and mushrooms, going thus for simple dishes made of simple ingredients. The salad was made of their own grown grilled vegetables, pickle salad, ricotta cheese and topped with a lemon chutney dressing and it was simply exquisite, all the vegetables were tasty, organic and of high quality. Eggs were cooked to perfection and you could literally tell that all other ingredients, like the spinach, mushrooms were really fresh and again of good quality, smashing delicious. I would also like to give a particular mention to their own baked bread which was simply delicious. The service also deserves praise, our waiter was very nice, friendly and accommodating, he knew what he was doing, first rate service. My experience was pleasant and the food was tasty, fresh and outstanding, which is justifying every penny spent. Totally recommended for a nice and laidback breakfast/brunch.

This establishment feels like a true Viennese pub. It has a bar and a few tables, though there was a second floor with a private party that evening. The bartender took our order--a couple pilsners on tap, weiner schnitzel with potatoes and salad, duck and blueberry risotto, and chocolate pie with berries--all excellent. Good service.

This is a fun place because the jolly proprietor seems to know most of the customers, and if you are new he will get to know you too, always with a glass of wine in hand. They have the usual Austrian schnitzel, goulasch, etc. but also some more creative dishes. We had two of these, a chicken and a lamb dish, and they were both excellent. The soup with cut pancakes was an excellent starter. The place is obviously very popular and was totally full when we were there - reservations are strongly advised.
