Stayed at the hotel on b&b basis but found ourselves eating at the hotel most nights given the good quality food and friendly service - restaurant constantly full - so HB well worth considering. Great to see regional dishes - and excellent Austrian wines!

If you are already full od Wiener schnitzel, Speck brot etc. (as we were), Biochi can be the option. We found that place 4 years ago and stop there whenever we visit Schladming. Very friendly staff and creative "daily offer - usually 2 meals" are turning us back again. The atmosphere is very relaxed and food very tasty and cooked with love. We are not vegies but love fresh and bio food. Last time we wanted to taste both daily offer with no issue to get half and half. Menu costs up to 10 ⬠as far as remember.

Nice ambience, very nice and well trained staff , excellent balanced wine list with serious excellent choices in all price classes. Food well done ,good flavors ,picturesque presentation however the unnecessary hair in soup and spotted raspberries did not destroy the evening but killed the 5 star rating for sure .

We came here for dinner - the place was fully crowded. The menu is limited, combination of Austrian classic and some creativity. I had soup with three dumplings - it was amazing - would come back for it anytime. The pork wiener schnitzel for the main was disappointing - they do it from fresh ingredients, but it is pan fried and was a bit thicker so it was tough - I prefer the crispy ones from the deep friers. The service was very friendly - the lovely young girls are doing a perfect job.Dear Mr. Ivo,thank you very - we are happy you had a good time at our place and we look Forward to welcome you again. Kind regards and happy new year 2019 - your Stadthotel brunner Team

Here, nestled amid the glorious countryside of Untertal, enjoy delicious homemade Styrian specialties, relax after a day of hiking on our sunny terrace, or simply treat yourself to peaceful coffee & cake, while your children explore our big adventure play
This is an excellent place to have good food. They get a special bonus for having a list for gluten free food. Also location and children playground are excellent. About food only Kaisersmarr was not top of the class

We were a group of tourists with one local German speaker. The waiters seemed somewhat polite but did not expect a German speaker amongst us who understood their derogatory remarks. Basically we should bring our money then go home. Schladming is full of restaurants, you don't need to come here to be disrespected by rude, arrogant young waiters who think no one speaks their language.

THE FOOD: recommendable. Even me as a local I loved it! Had the "Tischlerei soup" which is a mix of many Austrian soups - very good. As a main I can recommend the Bull ("Schulterscherzel") - it was a very soft meat (cooked for 48hrs). As a desert we had the flower pot which reminded me of Pana Cotta. THE SERVICE: very friendly and attentive. Waitresses serve in the typical Austrian dress ("Dirndl").THE VENUE: very pretty. They managed to incorporate modern interior design into the Austrian wooden style.

We had dinner at Braunhoferâs following a friendâs suggestion. We tried different types of meet (deer, mixed grill, chicken) and their carrotsâ soup, everything was really delicious. First choice Austrian ingredients, traditionally cooked and served with a smile. Make sure to reserve a table before going.

My husband and I celebrated our 60th birthday at this quaint restaurant on the mountain. We planned the occasion from our home in South Africa and the evening exceeded our expectations. From the time we were fetched and transported to Sonnenalm we were welcomed as if we were family. Service, incredible food, fun and laughter together with their hospitality made for an evening we will never forget. Each morsel of food was so evidently lovingly prepared and presented. Homemade schnapps, handcrafted puzzle type games, chatting to the family and traditional music added to the magic of the evening. From the bottom of our hearts thank you for everything. We will dream of the day we can return.

We stopped here after our hike to Riesachsee in July 2018. We drove by and it looked so quaint that we had to stop. Service was really authentic Austrian friendliness (not the fake friendliness that some touristic places have), realy how I am used to it from my childhood in Austria 30 years ago! Super food, all the traditional snacks and dishes, drinks, alcoholic drinks (schnaps and wines). You cannot find a more traditional quaint place.....we went there 2x in out just 2 night stay in the region. Try the Naturschnitzel, the Verhackertes Brot (bread with spread), the sausages or the Ginger Carrot soup. Always check out their seasonal menu too! Cash only.
