Merano 2000, a ski resort that’s actually in the village of Hafling, is linked by cable car.

Our beer garden - THE insider tip for a light-hearted evening with like-minded people. Whether on a hot afternoon or warm summer night, Forst Beer Garden is always just right. Old shady chestnut trees create an elegant atmosphere, live music sets the righ
Seemingly hundreds of people sinking vast amounts of Forst beer from across the road to accompany the good plain Tirolean food. It's dusty, it's noisy and no place to wear your best clothes but great fun especially when there is live music

The restaurant is situated on top of a mountain. The view in front is marvelous. The interior is very nice too. The restaurant serves local cuisine. I have been there several times and have never been disappointed. The service is very friendly and efficient too. I am quite often in this region. Beside the luferkeller in riffian this is my favorite place around Meran.

We stopped here for drinks on a Sunday and liked the location. Not too busy and a great place to watch the goings on around the piazza. Extensive drinks selection and prices are ok. Service is all right, but nothing too special.

This place serves decent food in an authentic Tyrolean setting. It is, however, quite expensive for what it is.....a glass of wine costs double what you would normally pay in a smart bar.The answer is probably that the restaurant is located off the busiest shopping street and is a perfect tourist trap. I noticed that lots of tables were 'reserved' but in reality they were not.....the waiter just picked up the sign and asked us to seat ourselves. The next time I am in Merano it is unlikely I would eat here again unless there were no other options for some odd reason

A welcome place from the bustling and touristic via Portici. The spaghetti (al dente!) and the mussels (cozze) were delicious, also the tomato, feta (with some other ingredients) salad was nicely presented and prepared! Service was courteous and friendly! - a very positive surprise were the washrooms/toilets!

The most beautyfull cellar-restaurant in the area of Merano. Only 4 km from Merano in direction Val Passiria. Nice panoramic view garden in the summer, ancient cellar rooms as restaurant in the harvest. Typically tyrolian style cuisine. Grilled meat on th
It's the second time I have the plesure to spend some holidays in Meran and after 5 years I didn't wait to go again to this fantastic typical restaurant close to Meran. It is a pleasure to stay outside with a stunning view of the mountains and inside because it is very very characteristic with its walls made with real stones and everything so nice and warm. The food is very good at reasonable prices ( I recommend the mix of grilled meat and the Canederli of course with a good Weizen beer) and the staff very kind (new management since few months here). So don't hesitate to go of you want something authentic!!Dear guest, thank you for sharing your positive experience with TripAdvisor. We are very happy to read, that you enjoyed your stay in our restaurant and that you liked our ambiance and dishes. We look forward to welcome you back in Hilberkeller in Caines near Merano.Best regards,Egon and Kati

During our return to Merano in 2019 Forsterbrau restaurant once again played a key role in our great time that we had. Visiting and eating in the restaurant is all around great experience. Service is excellent. All staff move around like well oiled machine, yet machine with a nice human touch and care. The food here is spot on. God combination of the classic Tyrolean and Italian cuisine, always with a slight twist as the seasonal ingredience allow. However all we tasted here was VERY GOOD. Can't wait to visit some time in the future. Sure there wil be next time.

Right in the middle of the Lauben pedestrian area and ideally placed for lunch.Nice table, under a nice big umbrella to keep the sun off.Staff always happy and smiling, with a very professional attitude. Orders taken, drinks on table, waiting for food.Have you ever had one of those meals where the smile on your face keeps getting bigger with every mouthful, because that is what I had.Schnitzel (Veal) potatoes and Prieselbeer Sauce (cranberry). Bit of a local delicacy.Very good food, very tasty and just the right size portion. I could easily have made myself look a pig and have gone back for more.Good local food is always nice to see on the menu, and this was no exception. A real go to place if you like good hearty, not messed with food.

This is a place for pizzas. A very big selection of pizzas. They are very large and more than enough to share. We ordered 4 and brought home most. The salads are very good as well. The server was very cordial and attentive. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Great to sit outside with plenty of shade areas during the day.

A beautiful, old building with an amazing view over Merano and the valley. It would be the perfect place for a light lunch or a drink. Sadly it is grossly overpriced. Admittedly I have only had a tea, but at over 5 Euro, I thought that adding a pastry would have been just extravagant. Yes, it was a loose leave tea and it even had a minute biscuit, but still..........
