Welcome to the breathtakingly beautiful Arimia Estate. If you take the time to meander down Quininup Road, just off Caves Road, you won't be disappointed. Nestled amongst the trees, overlooking the ridge is a hidden jewel that should not be missed. Arimia
Well done to the team at Arimia. âOff the gridâ is their motto. Biodynamic/ organic on farm or similar locally sourced ingredients. This is no easy thing! Beautiful alfresco dining room with indoor area too! Firstly, the wines are made with estate grown organic fruit and are delicious with some blends that really showcase the regions grape growing prowess. The Chardonnay and GSM are winners. There are some lesser known Margaret River varietals like the Zinfandel that really shines. Now, the food is really well done too. We really enjoyed the daikon radish/air dried duck/ Kamo dashi; confit duck terrine/pickles/ tempura jalapeños; wood fired sunchoke/goat chevre/gnocchi/bread crumbs; robustly flavoured braised pork leg ragout (their own pigs of course)/ pancetta/ pecorino/ hand made tagliatelle And finished off with a couple of sweets of the day. This will cost $85 pp for 6 courses plus snacks and house made sourdough bread. Wine matching for each course is $45 extra.

Beautiful settings with stunning sculptures set the scene.Warm welcome by friendly staff.Very nice to see an abbreviated menu ensuring quality dishes.A simple starter of bread shows the attention to detail, 2 slices of thick grilled sourdough with whipped feta and butter, olive oil , best dish of this type I have had..$10 !A beautiful pulled lamb pasta dish followed, chocolate brownie and excellent coffee to finish..all so very very good. Excellent wine, honey to taste then a very reasonable bill.Visit here, you will not be disappointed!

My husband and I recently went to Rivendell Winery for my husbands birthday. It was a lovely sunny Sunday and the drive to Yallingup was pleasant. The winery sits in beautiful bush gardens which are well maintained. We had reserved a table on decking and it was lovely to sit outside at a table in the shade overlooking the gardens. The obligatory ownersâ dog was wandering around down below but when he spied us and smelt food he came running up straight through the open restaurant and onto to the decking. He was very friendly and got chased away by staff quite a few times but decided to make his presence known to another group who were sitting on the veranda and was encouraged by them to do so.The menu is quite short, about 4 entrees, 4 mains and 4 deserts with sides of salad and fries etc. there is also a childrenâs menu.We ordered a shared entree of Bread and Halls family cultured butter which came with a dish of whole roasted garlic cloves in oil for dipping. The bread and butter were a great starter, just a small cob cut into 4 pieces. For the mains my husband had pork shoulder with fig and nori chutney, scorched pear and apple wood smoked scallops. He asked the waiter to,leave off the other ingredient which was cabbage and asked for the scallops on the side as he does not eat them but knew I would. I ordered the duck with carrot purée, fermented bramble berry and autumn potatoes. We also order a side of fries. Service is good, one person doing all the tables but we did not have any problems. To be honest by portion of suck was very small and I could not make out the taste of the other item on the plate but guessed that it was the fermented bramble berry and autumn potatoes served as a slice. The serving of fries was a huge plate, too much for two, people, enough for six. I had a glass of sparkling Forester wine with entree and then a Forester SSB with mains. This is the wine made by this winery. Not impressed by the wine, very ordinary. As it was his birthday, my husband ordered a panna cotta with with jarrah hthis new and honey mousse. Not your usual presentation of a panna cotta more deconstructed. The presentation of each of the dishes was very good but I felt that substance was lacking. Paying for dishes that are pleasant on the eye, rather than wholesome cooked food seems to be the way things are done at this winery. After lunch we took a walk along the trail through the different gardens. The gardens have been well set out and are lovely to walk through. While it was a pleasant lunch we would not return to this winery again.

Booked for an anniversary dinner and we were greeted with complimentary champagne to toast our event. Pleasant and unexpected.Beautiful room overlooking the pond and lots of space between tables so we did not have to share other tables conversations. My partner had Bouillabaisse and I had steak frites accompanied by a half bottle of Margaret river wine from a small but interesting wine list. Both meals very good with a generous amount of seafood in the Bouillabaisse.Service was five star - attentive, professional and friendly even as the restaurant filled up towards the end of our meal.

Wills Domain restaurant is definitely worth a visit if you are into fine dining. We had the degustation for lunch and were treated to 3 hours of mouth watering bliss. The flavours that chef Seth James has put together are intriguing, surprising and delicious. There was a bit of Asian fusion happening with some tastes and a mix of specific Australian native flavours in other courses. Go and enjoy!

We practice the art of Indulgent Mondays on the principle that, now we are retired, a leisurely lunch on Monday is especially enjoyable. Sitting on the terrace in the sun enjoying a glass of the shiraz which was part of the October deal was a great introduction to this excellent restaurant and from the minute the duck was presented we knew that we were in for a treat. The serving was generous and the duck was cooked to perfection in a delicate Thai sauce accompanied by a bowl of excellent rice. The desserts did not disappoint with a creme brûlée and opera cake garnished with berries. We will certainly be back!Hi JayWe really appreciate your glowing comments (the duck is a real treat)
