On the Old Coast Hwy between Ulverstone and Penguin
Nice setting for a restaurant, service is good and food is okay, but been the same menu for a long time even though ownership changed, would be nice to see some new interesting choices.

A great cafe that provided enough variety to keep everyone happy. Between the pancakes, B&E Roll and the Eggs Benedict, everyone was happy. Service was good, views over the river perfect and coffee great. A great place to ponder, appreciate and recognise that there are moments in time when it doesn't get too much better than this.

Traditional English style tea room offering morning and afternoon teas and light lunch. Over 30 different varieties of tea to choose from. All our food is lovingly homemade including cakes, biscuits, slices and scones, frittata, quiche and pies. Devonshir
Olde World decor, peaceful environment, calm music and some of the best, home made cafe food in Tasmania. The selection of teas is substantial and coffee is very flavoursome. Plenty of gluten free as well. In main street of town, a short walk from many car parks. 'High Tea' by appointment and served on classic crockery. Also a gift shop that is unique. Price very reasonable. We love it, you will too.

Spontaneous decision to have lunch here. Easy access off the highway with heaps of car parking set in nice grounds. We got there just at the start of the lunch period which was lucky as it rapidly filled with people. Lovely welcome, and service was so helpful, and friendly. We immediately felt at home. A great varied menu and the food we ordered was fresh, abundant and tasty. Great drinks list and terrific coffee. To add to a lovely lunch they also have a small gift shop inclusive of pickled onions bottled on the premises. A lovely experience all round. Highly recommended.Thank you for visiting and taking the time to write your comprehensive and very complimentary review - our staff aim to provide guests a great experience and the chef's take great pride in providing freshly prepared meals to order - we will pass on to our staff your terrific review and recommendation. Thank you.

We picked to eat here based on previous reviews and were not disappointed. The food was fresh and tasty with decent sized servings, kid's meal was great as well. Best of all was the super friendly service from the owner and staff. This is a really lovely venue and whilst we weren't staying there this time, I wouldn't hesitate to in the future based on our dinner experience, you can tell they really care about their customers.

Modern restaurant with magnificent views sitting out over the waters of the Leven River 600 meters from Bass Strait. Serving Tasmanian Seafood, Steak, Chicken and Pasta dishes.
Had such a lovely time at this little gem . The staff were lovely and attentive to our needs . The meals come out at a nice pace and were large serving and beautiful (compliment to the chefâs).We had such a lovely night that we will be back as the deserts look heavenly, I was just too full from entree and mains .

Our party of 9 recently had dinner here for my friend's 60th birthday. Gorgeous interior and very cosy in Winter with an open fire and logs stacked around giving it a very homely atmosphere. An extensive menu to choose from and the serves were huge! I had a 'small' battered flake with chips and salad and couldn't finish it. My son who can usually eat a fair bit had the large serve and couldn't finish his either. Two of our party had steak (one with mushroom sauce, the other with pepper sauce) and they were huge too (and, by all accounts, delicious), the other meals at our table were the scallops, chips and salad, basil pesto penne, pizza, a pork dish and one child's meal - everyone was very happy with their selections and nobody could fit dessert in. Very reasonably priced for the quality and size of the meals. All the staff were super friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend this place and will definitely go back.So fantastic to read Sylvia - I am sorry no-one could fit dessert though! We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to place such a detailed review - so thank you. We look forward to seeing you back soon.

We went for a celebration dinner and were not disappointed. The service was exceptional, professional and very friendly. Staff were attentive, including the manager who adjusted the blinds and air conditioner as needed. It is a beautiful spot and we had a table beside the window. Mains were $30 and desserts $14. Worth every cent. One of the best steaks I've had anywhere. Perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The dukka crumbed local camembert was outstanding. We will certainly be back. A thoroughly enjoyable night and meal.

What it lacked in customer service it made up for in food!! Waited a ridiculously long time to be served as the waitresses were too busy talking and gossiping between themselves. Finally was served and from then on it was incredible, good atmosphere and amazing food. Didnât like the fact the toilet opened straight out into the cafe (I feel like this is against building code)
