I asked David if he would serve a luncheon, as there would be young children in the group. Usually, David caters for an evening meal, but for the right number of people, he said he would do a luncheon. We ordered from the menu. Delicious food as usual, excellent service, of course. Drank a local sparkling wine. We had a wonderful meal. Orders ranged across the menu, some of the younger children had a special meal - suggested by Ben. Steak ( always a winner ), kangaroo, chicken, fish. Some of us even indulged ourselves with dessert ! Many thanks to David and Ben for catering for our lunch.

Went for Melbourne Cup lunch, atmosphere was good, lots of chatter & happy faces. Food service is another story, it took 64minutes to get 2 lasagne 2 schnitzels & a kids meal & the place was by no means packed. When food arrived, portions were tiny & little veggies to choose from in Bain Marie, heaps of salad but no enough veg. Beer was cold & refreshing but food disappointing. Left & went to another pub for the race, not in a hurry to go back.

Our group of 4 ate here last weekend and were treated to a beautiful meal. The range of entrees and mains has something for everyone, with some different dishes to try.Wait staff are friendly and efficient and sitting by the wood fire heater on a cold winter night was fantastic.Would thoroughly recommend the dessert tasting plate to share, all desserts are homemade and scrumptious.Treat yourself and your family/friends with a meal here, you will not regret it.

Lillies and Lattes Cafe and Bar a great place to meet with friends and dine in with great service and great range of food at affordable prices!
We called in and had Eggs Benedict and was yummy. There was a little bit too much bread but eggs and bacon were good. It was a little slow and the negative reviews are from a while ago. Family have visited and eaten there twice and love it
Loved the building, decor and furniture are tasteful, practical and in keeping with the heritage building. Service was friendly and helpful and despite only having limited options for breakfast on a Monday morning I was cooked an order of eggs accompanied by a delicious fresh salad.

Stopped here for lunch. The house made sausage rolls are sensational! Friendly staff, spotlessly clean and a nice ambience. Also ordered potato wedges which were freshly cooked for us and served with real sour cream (not out of tin) and sweet chilli sauce. Well worth the stop as we passed through from Adelaide to Melbourne. Well price, gluten free and vegetarian options.

Easter Friday looking for something without meat, chips for 4 kids 2 adults thinking $10 should be ok if we add a loaf of bread with it, we nearly feed all the kids in the caravan park!! Beautiful chips crunchy and nice salt!! Well done guys!!

We are a family friendly hotel/pub with 3 bars. We offer huge meals that are delicious, a sports bar and pool table. Foxtel is on 3 different TV's.

Salingers Cafe, established in 1861 in the wine and food villiage of the Grampians, Great Western. Salingers Cafe is a play between the historic building and modern dining. The exposed brick walls and polished wooden floors gives the cafe a warm ambiance,
We stayed in Great Western overnight to see where my mum grew up. We had breakfast at Salingers and it was delicious. I had the chilli scrambled eggs which were served with a very generous dide of smoked salmon. My husband had the bacon and eggs. The coffee was good and my pot of tea was stong and hot. Just how I like it! Judging from the steady stream of customers this is a popular spot to stop on the way through town.Thank you for making the journey back to Great Western. As you would have seen, the town is very rich in history. Thank you also for taking the time to leave a review. We hope to see you again in Great Western soon.
