Things to do in Oberon
This is a Chinese/Asian style bistro in the Oberon RSL. It is a large room with big windows that provide a good outlook over the bowling green and at night the lights of the nearby factories were quite impressive. The service is great, very attentive, friendly and efficient. My wife had a Chinese meal ant it was excellent. I however ordered a Schnitzel with salad and chips. The Schnitzel was good but very small and the chips were soggy. My conclusion is if you are going to eat here stick with the Chinese/Asian options.

We walked into 3 cafes...monkeys had little food a available, others fast fried food.Drove to end of town , to Peter's..whilst no food in displays told all made fresh. So two staff made us two fresh salad wraps. Two teas...other people came in, food made fresh by staff.Forget the other town cafes, go to Peter's..
great service, good fresh food, very friendly staff& a good range of menu to choose from, using local staff! i would recommend this this bakery to any weary traveller. soak up the town atmosphere

Nothing special here at Bistro 59 inside Oberon RSL. The four of us thought our meals were average. We were visiting Oberon for the Mayfield Gardens. Our meals consisted of pub/club staples of chicken snitzel, steak & pasta. With the pasta dishes you could only have penne or spaghetti as your choice of pasta, why? Its not like it costs a lot to buy dry pasta and store it. Anyway the chicken snitzel was my choice and that was rather overcooked and dry, the side veges were undercooked (quite hard) and were stone cold. Mash was nice. Both steaks were overcooked and tough. It was early on a Thursday night (6pm) and it was not busy at all. Staff were pleasant and friendly. As we experienced very average meals here, I think our next visit to Oberon we'll try one of the pubs in town.

At Mayfield, we celebrate fresh and local. Actually, we donât just celebrate it, we LIVE it! We take great pride in the fact that our seasonal menu features produce grown in our gardens or on our farm with the remainder coming from handpicked local partne
After hearing about Mayfield and with the Autumn Festival opening g the private garden attached to Mayfield hubby and I decided to celebrate our anniversary out there. The gardens, waterways, grotto and the general design will absolutely blow you away. The gardens are dog friendly which is very convenient. It really is a beautiful place to spend hours mesmerised.Hi RachaelRobbo,Thank you for taking the time to review Mayfield Garden and to provide feedback. We're so pleased that you enjoyed seeing the gardens - were you able to bring your doggy friends along? We hope you had a lovely anniversary and enjoy many more years together. Maybe we'll see you again to celebrate this special occasion.Thank you again,The Mayfield Team

Been here several times and it is always great. Arrived just as kitchen was about to close but we're still able to order. Had the most amazing pork burger with delicious pumpkin puree on a perfect hamburger bun. The coffee was also excellent. My husband had a salmon sandwich which was also served on excellent local bread. The kitchen closes at 2.30 pm on Sunday afternoon. The food is all locally produced They sell homemade sauces, jams, soup and meat
