While staying at Dinner Plain in one of the great Ramada Chalets we had dinner one night at Elements. We had a very enjoyable evening, great friendly service in a very nice setting which compliments the Ramada Resort here at Dinner Plain .Interesting menu , there are what they call small plates at $15 each or three for $40.We ordered three plates each with the view of maybe a main after, that did not happen as the small plates were very substantial and more than satisfied our appetite. Our choices were Kangaroo, stir fried veggies,Barramundi Wings, Chicken Wings,Scallops, Vietnamese Spring Rolls, Pork Ribs and Prawns, each dish was mouth watering good.We all thought the meal was excellent, each dish was well prepared, beautiful flavours our compliments to the Chef. The local Blizzard Brewery beer was good and a nice Chardonnay rounded off a great dinner. This is a must place to eat in Dinner Plain .

We stopped in at Bellaâs after a slow, somewhat treacherous drive down from Mount Hotham. Great coffee, generous hot chocolates, and we couldnât go past the mountain of creamy scrambled eggs with avocado and dukkah.Friendly service, knowledgeable locals and weâll make this a regular stop on our way home from Hotham in years to come.

A busy Saturday night but we were accommodated at a table in the bar, 3 vegans in our party were offered suitable meals, the service was friendly the medals very tasty and generous serves, things that needed work were, vegetable sides were well undercooked brussel sprouts U couldn't put a fork thru and and unmentioned on the menu was that there are cashews in the dhal, one of the vegans is allergic to cashews and ended up with a headache after having only 1/2 mouthfuls, this needs attending to as ramifications can be extremely serious, however they're really trying to get out food of a qualityHi, We have passed your comments onto the chefs and at all times they are vigilant re dietary requirements. When their are allergies that are specific to guests, please mention them ALL as often the wait staff will only respond to the question at hand ie "vegan" Thank you for the quality comment as the kitchen team work tirelessly on a heavy prep menu to deliver that.We hope to see you again this season, or even in the summer as we are open all year round. In summer we offer accommodation as well, so perhaps come and stay with us and enjoy our special brand of high country hospitality. We are Dinner Plains one stop location.Happy travelsStephen.

After a long day of skiing at Mt Hotham we popped in there to check if we needed a booking on Sat night to which we were told that they don't take bookings but it's not going to be busy & that if we get there after 7.30pm after the possible rush of families we will he fine. We did so and found the place full of guests - some of the guests were not even eating just having a few drinks & occupying the restaurant tables. After a while we did managed to get a table but the wait staff were very disorganized. Having said all this, I'm glad we waited as the food was fantastic - typical pub menu but very tasty food...compliments to the chef!

Crowded and stuffy, limited lunch menu that has suddenly joined the rhammen noodle craze not suitable for eating at the bar, Ihad the chicken burger for lunch full of gissel, staff were friendly though in a non cari g sort of way when asked how was my meal I told her, the reply " oh joking dokie then" seriously!

The Restaurant at Jack Frost replaces a German themed restaurant that, with the exception of serving vast quantities of beer and schnapps was truly approaching a culinary and calorific disaster the longer it staggered on. The new restaurant is, totally refurbished and is excellent, with a well balanced menu with lots of great options. I just had the sweet potato and beetroot soup with some wonderful home made seed bread - absolutely great. The kids had burgers whichâs were similarly really tasty and excellent. Great wine and cocktail list as well. The new Jack Frost is probably the best place to eat on Hotham!
Recently restored Joyce Brockhoff Hut is now Hotham's newest Ski-in Ski-out soup kitchen. Fully licensed offering local wines, local & craft beers, Segafredo coffee, hot chocies, a variety of herbal & regular teas, delicious Harrieville quiches, hearty so
Well worth dropping in on this gem. Friendly staff and would have loved to come back to try the food but we only found the place on our last day on the mountain.
