Even though the restaurant was pretty empty and no one else came in while we were there, they made a huge deal about us not having a booking and that they were doing us a favour. Seemed weird to me. Apart from that the service was good and meal was good. It really annoys me that they use single use plastic straws when they serve their drinks in perfectly fine glasses. My drink came with two straws which was worse. I tried to talk to them about it and they said they were just doing their job. I would have appreciated that theyâd take to the manager, but that didnât appear to be an option. Back to the food, itâs what Iâd expect from this type of place and was good but not great. We only went there as it was across the road from our accommodation and it had been a long day. When we left it seemed quite expensive for what we got so not sure that Iâd bother with a return visit.

Garlic bread crunchy and soft in the middle just how we like it. Baked Brie was delightful and the battered onion rings! The menu has something for everyone but with some nice twists. Host Melinda was lovely and has great information about the area and is obviously passionate about their restaurant and accomodation and this shows in both. Lovely ambiance for a city hotel/restaurant with a view of the lovely pool. This is definitely my choice of accomodation and a great dinner in Mildura. We will be back :)

Great atmosphere and lovely staff. Meals are cheap and cheerful. Get there early if you want the roast of the day as they run out and itâs fantastic. Itâs a no fuss kind of place that you are happy to keep going back too. Breakfasts are fantastic too

Meal was ok, soup very good as was garlic bread. Mains were ok chicken schnitzel and steak. Steak was not cooked to medium rare as requested otherwise the mains were ok. Major problem is the amount of time it takes to get you food. Over 40 minutes for the entree, the main a little quicker. Other customers had to wait over an hour for their mains. There were only 6 people in the restaurant so not overly busy. Felt as if there was only one chef and he could only handle one tables meals at a time. Staff were friendly. Thanks for your review. We are not a fast food restaurant, all our meals are cooked fresh and take time, a steak in particular to get it correct takes a considerable amount of time. Its always difficult for you to understand how many meals are actually on the go when you are in the restaurant, whilst the restaurant may not look particularly busy we are often working on room service meals at the same time for the motel. Our aim has always been for people to enjoy a pleasant, relaxing unrushed meal and most of our guests absolutely love us for this environment, we are sorry if this does not quite suit your style. We are surprised to read you thought your steak was not medium rare, peoples interpretation on what medium rare or rare in a steak is always differs to a chefs. Had you have mentioned it the chef would have been more than happy to address the issue.

We were very fortunate to be visiting Mildura just after a good friend had suggested we should visit here. First impressions are that it's an oddly shaped eatery with an average fitout, but quite welcoming. The menu has what you'd expect to see in a good steakhouse; plenty of good cuts and variety. I opted for the 450gm rib eye that was simply to die for. It was cooked perfectly and could have been cut with a fork. Vegies were perfect too. My partner opted for the rib special and it was also devine. Service was excellent and the owners make a point of going around to say hi and add a bit of good old fashioned country hospitality. If you're in Mildura and you like good meat then this is as good as it gets anywhere.

This is the 2nd time we have been to Botanica & this visit excelled all our expectations. I am a Coeliac & allergic to onions (amongst other things) Dag presented me with exquisite, scrumptious meals. A good old fashioned prawn cocktail, with a twist in the serving. Mains were lamb for me...steak for him, both of which were cooked to perfection & flavours made our taste buds dance. Dessert was the panna cotta for me....vanilla ice-cream with Baileys for him. Mine was the best panna ever...the strawberry ice-cream YUM!! Servings were the perfect size..we finished all 3 courses & felt satisfied at the end. All of this was washed down with a bottle of Charles Melton GSM & the occasional sparkling water.Angel, our waitress was bubbly & professional & it was a pleasure to meet Dag & Michelle before we leftCannot recommend Botanica more highly..we will become regular patrons for sure.Such a lovely review Sylvia, we are so pleased you enjoyed your dinner at Botanica. What great choices you made, we will pass the compliments to the staff for you. Look forward to seeing you again next time you dine at Botanica and thanks so much for taking the time to give feedback.

Fortunately, we phoned ahead to make a lunch reservation for an outside balcony table at this friendly Mildura winery. On a lovely, sunny day there were several others hoping for a prime position overlooking the sylvan setting but Belinda, the restaurant manager had kept us the table and Danielle, the charming young waitress came straight by to look after us. Unfortunately, in this perfect scenario there was one disappointment: my anticipated fish course, the Murray cod was overcooked and mushy. I know that fish can be tricky but it was a $40 main and meant to be a menu standout. I chose not to make a fuss but it really shouldn't have happened; I mention it so that the chef will in future pay more attention to this delicate fish.Apart from the fish, lunch at Trentham Estate was a most pleasant experience.Hi SydneyVeraThank you so much for your generous feedback. We are very pleased you had a wonderful time here on your recent visit to Trentham and you were happy with all aspects of the winery, also thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your experience. We are so sorry to hear your meal was not up to our usually high standards and appreciate your feedback, Your comments will be taken on-board, and resolved for future customers.Kind RegardsTeam Trentham

Bringing a little of Melbourne's inner-city panache to the residents of Mildura is Blk.Mlk specialty coffee café on Deakin Avenue. Drawn in by tantalising smells, organise to meet friends for brunch and soak up a trendy vibe inside, surrounded by stylish
Every time we go to blk.mlk it reminds me of some trendy Melbourne breakfast cafes, it is definitely on that level. Coffee is always great, lovely staff, meal presentation is very creative with the variety of dishes on the menu. My friend who loves his burgers was very impressed and said it was the best he's ever had. Caveman salad was great too. Can't go wrong with them, if you haven't been there yet, give it a try!
