The 3 Little Pigs is a busy and popular cafe. We enjoyed great coffee and good service. We sat outside as the weather was great but inside the cafe it is spacious and not too noisy. There was a good array of light food and cakes. I also loved the idea of the book exchange.

open for breakfast, brunch/lunch Thursday - Monday. Hours & days may differ over public holidays, please call for confirmation.
On Saturday mornings we buy the papers, do a bit of shopping maybe visit the farmers market before enjoying a Paysanne breakfast. If you donât feel up to a full breakfast the fish cakes or a couple of poached eggs with mushrooms will fill the spot.

Canteena is an exciting addition to the Gisborne café scene. Come to 18 Prince Street (behind the Gisborne Central Shopping Centre) and find a warm, cosy and quiet café known for great food with an exciting ethnic twist. We are open for breakfast and lunc
Friends & I regularly meet at Canteena, after our tri-weekly walks. Coffee, tea & cakes go down extremely well! Staff are always most welcoming & caring of patrons. All these qualities, & the ambience, make Canteena one of our best local spots.I can also recommend the lunches - worth frequent returns! The restaurant opens on Friday & Saturday evenings, & I've thoroughly enjoyed my few dinners Thank you Ian for reviewing Canteena. We are greatly thankful for your appreciation of the overall dining experience. Your positive comments have been shared with the team. We look forward to seeing you soon. Best Regards, Manager

Had lunch here with friends and was pleasantly surprised. Had the flake and chips and it was lovely. Service was fast and the staff very friendly. OK range of wine but I think the beer list is bigger. Only negatives, no atmosphere, and the tables are placed far too close together. Having said that, this is a place I will return to.

So friendly, helpful and great customer service with nice food.We arrived at 2:30 in Woodend and all cafes were closing at 3 so kitchens closed, we needed lunch with friends.Schatzis staff had a temporarily closed kitchen as changing oil but they offered anything other than fried on the menu. They made us amazing Mediterranean style pasta dishes with a garden salad and were so friendly and obliging. We come to Woodend often so will definitely forsake other previous favourites for Schatzis as they were so amazing when we needed food :-) Highly recommended!!

We went for a family dinner to Baringo's on a Saturday night. I had not been there before and was delighted with the way in which the building has been divided rather cleverly into different dining spots such as restaurant, wine bar, coffee shop etc. We had booked at the restaurant end and the area was again rather well done in terms of cutting down noise levels. The interesting menu is at the fine dining end of the spectrum. My complaint was that I initially chose a meat dish and requested that the meat be well done. The waiter came back and told me the chef did not approve of this and would cook the meat to his standards. I chose something else (another meat dish) and again asked for well done - the same response from the chef. I find that rather annoying that the chef feels that they can impose their tastes and standards on customers. In the end I had seafood which was excellent and properly cooked. My companions also chose sea food and pronounced it delightful. I did not have dessert although my companions did and said they were wonderful. Service was good but I would have preferred my wishes regarding the cooking of meat to be observed.

Made an early start out of Melbourne en route to visiting Hanging Rock in Central Victoria. Had reports about the Trading Post as being a good spot for breakfast. We were not disappointed. Excellent coffee served along with tasty reasonably priced food. Would certainly stop in again if in the Mt Macedon area. Also a great selection of local produce and gift ware including olive oil, wine, honey and toiletries etc.

Formerly rasputin's...new signage going up this week.
I booked dinner in the courtyard at Olive Jones for my 50th birthday celebration with my family and friends. We all had a fabulous night. The setting was magical, the food outstanding and the service as always, warm and friendly. Thank you Mark and Brooke for making my birthday so special.

Macedon Wine Room Restaurant is situated in the grounds of the Macedon Ranges Hotel and Spa complex and overlooks Mount Macedon, the surrounding valleys and has views to Melbourne and beyond. Our view is tranquil and indicative of the local landscape. Our
We lunched at Macedon Wine Room with friends who had come up from Melbourne recently, and were very disappointed. We were rushed into ordering as the kitchen closes at 2pm. Food was ordinary, lamb with no seasoning, waiter didnât advise when chips were ordered as a side dish when chips came with the main meal. Asked to leave at 3.45 so they could set up for dinner when we were the only table left in the restaurant that wasnât set up for dinner. We were happy to keep ordering drinks but were made to feel quite unwelcome. Not to worry we went elsewhere and happily spent our money there. We were embarrassed to have suggested this place to meet up. We will not be back in the near future.

Urban Vibes // Country Location. All day breakfast, lunch and dinners (Friday and Saturday) bagels, house made treats, raw vegan treats, GF Options. Allpress Espresso and a selection of local beer and wines. 23 Victoria Street Macedon Vic 3440.
We took my 87 year-old Father-in-Law here for a luncheon catch-up with my hub and daughter. The food was excellent. All dishes were delicious, but I was most impressed by the BLT bagel my FiL had, with such a generous amount of gorgeous crispy bacon. Very happy with the manager, one of two, I think. I felt like they genuinely care about their business and love what they do. The wait staff are slim, tattooed and groovy. The peanut butter and chocolate slice I shared with my daughter was super delicious. We all left very happy, as even though my FiL was out-of-place age-wise, he was definitely not made to feel that way and he really enjoyed it. My teen also enjoyed her 'Blue Heaven' milkshake!
