We have just enjoyed a very delicious meal, at the Lacepede Bay Motel, while watching the sunset over Lacepede Bay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Thank you. We will be back
The rebirthing of Me and Mrs Jones has moved it from a cafe to a restaurant. Whilst it is still in the same place the layout, decor and menu are now more fitting for a restaurant rather than the cafe it used to be.The food is very good and very reasonably priced and there is a good choice of dishes. A good option is to order two small plates rather than a single main course. The wine list is very good alsoI would have rated it more highly had the service been a bit more attentive. The wait staff were friendly and knowledgeable however they were hard to find at times and the service was a bit on the slow side.If they can sort out the service I would rate it 4 stars rather than 3Well worth a visit but not if you are tight for time

Family owned hotel offering a range of services from quality meals, bar, bottleshop, local wines, TAB, lotteries, pokies and basic accommodation.
We, two mature couples, had supper here on two consecutive nights and all four of us thoroughly enjoyed our food. The staff are friendly and very attentive. There is a very good selection of food on the menu and a 'help yourself' salad bar/vegetable bar to accompany the meals. The cost of the meals is very modest and with the accompaniment bar they become very inexpensive. In addition to the beers there is a very good selection of wines at modest prices. All the food that he four of us choose was more than acceptable and our choice of the local wine was more than satisfactory.

Some of you may think that was where Hawkeye (from M*A*S*H) originated from however it also a (another) nickname for Sandy Grove. We dropped by again a couple of times when I was visiting the oldies and the service was as country as you can get. Friendly, helpful, casual, peaceful and the scones were great, both normal and Muntrie (Crab Apple) scones. If you're in the area for whatever reason, do yourself a favour, drop in and have a coffee and enjoy the peace and quiet. If you look up serenity in the dictionary it should say Sandy Grove.

Came across this bakery/cafe after viewing the giant lobster up the road. They cafe provides a good range of home cooked pastries, pies etc together with many sandwich choices. It does not look much from outside but was exceedingly busy which is a very positive omen. We were not disappointed taking a light lunch sitting at an outside table on the sidewalk. The best bit was that I left my leather hat on the railings next to the table. This was something of a blow as I had made a special trip to Armidale several years ago to make the purchase of âa Jackarooâ. Amazingly a phone call made later than day when we were en route to Melbourne established that the hat was in their possession. Julie Little most kindly arranged to post it on to me in New South Wales and it was received a couple of weeks later via Australian snail mail. Being a Pom I did not expect to ever see the hat again as would have been the likely outcome back in the UK. Thanks to whomsoever handed it in and thanks ++++ to Julie for taking the time to despatch the hat to me.If you are in Kingston SE please do use this shop/cafe but make sure you remember to pick up your hat!!
