The food was good, although a little concerned that steaks are either with chips or salad, and you have to pay extra if you want both - a little unusual and unexpected. However we were more concerned that they have lost their personal touch with customers. We were met by a waiter who informed us we were on a self service table. So instead of the familiar staff talking through the menu we were instructed on how to use an iPad. Didnât really appreciate this at a restaurant which was always known for explaining the food.Hopefully just a trail and will resort back to good customer friendly service.

The location and fitout is quite good, and the food reasonable, but they donât seem to understand the value of good service. They employ teenagers which is great, but then donât give them the training they need to deliver quality customer service. We joined friends there last night for the first time in 18 months, and nothing has changed. Waitresses leaning across seated diners, asking for the empty plates to be passed over, bringing one drink at a time instead of all together, having to stand up and wave for table service, etc. Disappointed again!Hi Paul. I'm the new Hotel Manager Jon and I have just come on-board last week. When you are free are you able to contact me at the hotel to discuss your experience? Your insights will be invaluable to help move the hotel forward. You can contact me on 07 3286 2466. Thanks in advance, Jon

Extremely busy. Accommodated large group. Found bartender rude. Had rib eye was cooked perfect and melt in the mouth. Parma was average. Staff were rushed off their feet and could use a brush up in customer service. Seats were comfy and had singer/entertainment. Were seated inside so didn't have a view

What a pleasure to have brunch today at Zykas kitchen. The beetroot and fennel fritters were delicious, topped with poached eggs and salmon served with a zesty lime yogurt, a great combination of flavour. My husband loved his herb infused mushrooms too. Loved the funky decor, staff were friendly too. Recommend if you are in the area

My husband and I took a couple visiting from San Diego to the Lighthouse so they could enjoy the view of Moreton Bay. The view is wonderful The two guys ordered crumbed fish and chips and enjoyed their meals. I tasted their chips and they were very crispy - exactly what you want from a chip. My husband and I ordered natural oysters, which he really enjoyed, but I found to taste a little iodine-y. I ordered the mussels in Thai spiced coconut milk. The mussels were very large (not a plus in my book) and very dry and tough, piled in a too small bowl. I ate just three and then gave up. Service was friendly but not at all attentive. We waited for our check for a long time with no server in sight, until we remembered this is one of the places that you go to the cashier up front, give her your table number and then pay.

We ordered two fish meals consisting of fish, chips, and salad. The prices are reasonable. The serving size is large, and the quality of the meal was just superb. The fish was beautifully cooked. We loved it. Plenty of free parking behind Woolies across the road, and indoor or outdoor dining is available.

Doug and Pearl is an Australian restaurant that is a local treasure. We love celebrating milestones such as anniversaries, birthdays and Valentines Day with a visit to Doug and Pearl. The food is amazing, especially the Lamb Shoulder for two ($70) which is served with mint jelly, gravy and your choice of two side dishes from their accompaniments section of the main menu and a complimentary glass of white or red house wine. Absolutely delicious! Dining at Doug and Pearl restaurant is efinitely something for the To Do list whether you are a local or a visitor.https://www.tripadvisor.com.au/ShowUserReviews-g494983-d5211794-r683716815-Doug_and_Pearl-Cleveland_Redland_City_Brisbane_Region_Queensland.html#

On our first visit to Cleveland, the Courthouse was recommended by friends. We were very happy with our choice. Everything was fantastic. All of our meals were delicious. The service was great and the wines were not expensive. A beautiful landmark with a wonderful history. We hope to return next time we visit Queensland
