Unfortunately this restaurant isn't very well marketed. I am presuming they rely on the hotels customers. The hotel doesn't have a name on but it's called Hoey Moey and Clermont Hotel Motel. It is a shame because the food was fantastic. We ordered chicken schnitzel, a parmy and a small steak. Look at my photo of the SMALL steak, it's the largest steak I've had. It was cooked to perfection. They then have a buffet where you have three choices of potato and a good choice of veg or salad you help yourself to how much or how little you want. I would most certainly recommend this restaurant.

Lovely pioneer atmosphere with nicely laid tables, comfortable chairs, historic photos displayed,cheerful staff, bar. Good street & off street parking. The tasty meals come quite quickly & empty dishes are cleared away in timely fashion. Be early to order their lamb shanks, they are very popular!

Great food. got the eye fillet medium rare and it was cooked nicely. Came out in good time. Great veges with meal and other peoples salad looked good. Eye fillet meal was $33. Before eating inside had a couple of beers out near pool. Would go back.

All dinners were charged back to Stayzz Motel, the managers are new but were very helpful and friendly, waitress was introduced she gave recommendations , The meals for 3 nights were fantastic and would equal any big city restaurant, I will eat here again next time in town.

OMG Iâm addicted to country (outback) town bakeries, they are soooo good, someone shud write a book on country bakeries. Great range of cakes n breads, my pasty was soo good, lots of filling held in place by a nice flaky, all over ur shirt front, pastry. Yum

Despite being fully booked, we, like many other travellers caught out and stranded because of the rain, the managers accepted as many caravans as they could placing them on edge of driveways and like us, between cabins. we really appreciated their kindness. On leaving they were reassuring travellers as to which roads were open.

Recently stayed overnight in Clermont and decided to try Commercial Hotel for dinner. Happy Hour drinks from 4 - 6 was a major drawcard too!! Dinner was delicious, steak sandwich and chicken pesto salad were well-presented and very reasonably priced. Service was friendly and we felt very welcomed. Dining room was small but comfortable and with modern decor. We would definitely recommend a meal at the Commercial and will be visiting again in the future.
