Why go Chinese when in Germany?I love my visits to Zwickau and all that goes with it - the people, the town an the GERMAN food but sometimes I like to do a benchmark type test. Im Australian and we are "up to our knees" in Asian food...you name it ..... Chinese, Malay, Viet, Indonesian, Japanese and yes ..... Thai ...... so its probably an expected part of our weekly routine. So why not make a comparison? I have been to China City with my beautiful partner from Zwickau on three occasions and lets start with number 1.It was a new experience at the time and part of the fun was to navigate the Chino-Deutsche-Anglo ordering process (if your first language is English and have preferred dishes). In the end you get something like youre used to but not the same. (Sound familiar?lol). The sweetness is gone from most dishes and the meat has been modified to local tastes.Servings are huge so be careful.Overall we like it there. The restuarant is set in a grand period building which is always interesting with the Asian interior add-ons, the service is always welcoming, the price is about right, you never walk out hungry and it's quiet. What else could we ask for?Well for me if I wanted my favourite Black bean chicken or Sweet n Sour Pork then Im not going to get it ...exactly. But then again...Im in Saxony Germany and Im not really here to discover or rely upon Chinese food. But, it does all of the above..... its good for a reliable meal and may satisfy any hunger pains from home if it applies.CheersRobbee

Fine vietnamese kitchen
We went for a lunch to this restaurant. The restaurant is nicely decorated in Vietnamese style, we liked the origami birds on the ceiling! The menu offers a wide choice of Vietnamese dishes (we were offered a German menu, don't know if they have an English one). There are many diet options, including vegetarian, organic and lactofree. We chose a Pho Chay (soup) and Kokoscreme Noodles with salmon. We enjoyed the dishes very much, so much flavour! Portions were sufficient, unfortunately we were full and couldn't try any other dishes.
