I ordered take away. The young girl taking orders was really nice and friendly. The spring rolls were passable but the tom yum seafood was disgusting. Like a sloppy can of tomato soup. Don't know where a previous reviewer talked about fresh local seafood was from. I had 4 small prawns- one was still frozen in the middle. Supermarket rubbish. And no squid i could identify amongst the slushy onions. Could not eat it. And my great dane who eats anything smelt it and ran away. Absolute waste of money.

Dinner for three last night. I forgot my wallet but was recognized by the restaurant manager who allowed the "locals" discount even though my colleague paid on my behalf.The weather and outlook was stunning.Service good and the food excellent. Entrees were reef fish ceviche and dumplings which we shared.I really enjoyed my Rendang Beef Cheeks which were a special and my colleagues duck curry and Korean chicken which was quite spicy.Hi Timtom57We are always happy to see a 'local' face and are pleased you enjoyed your dinning experience at Paper Crane. Living close by, I go there quite often for a quick yummy snack.Staff is always friendly and Sushi taste good and fresh, but recently I noticed that the store needs a good scrub everywhere.Floor is dirty, table is sticky, windows have fingerprints on it, Napkin holder is rusty and dusty....the List goes on.I still eat there because I never had an issue with food, but I wish the store would be much cleaner.

Arrived for an early dinner and was warmly greeted by the male wait staff( forgot his name. ) service was exceptional. Entrees from around $10 and mains around $30. Had a mixed entree, fish cake, satay stick, curry puff ect and Madang curry for main. The food was superb and delivered in good time. Great atmosphere looking over the beach. A wonderful dinner and great service. Will return for sure.

This restaurant was an absolute gem. Offering all sorts of foods, from South American to Australian we had a good time choosing and eating our meals, which were absolutely delicious and fresh. Although this place is a bit off the path, in a residential Clifton Beach area, itâs great and can only recommend.

Recommended by family I was visiting in Cairns. Ended up having dinner there 3 out of 5 nights (so I could try more dishes). The delicious Salt'N'Pepper Squid was 2nd only to the Royal Chicken Wings (my fave).Off the beaten track (so it's truly destination dining), & the restaurant decor is simple. Most impressed that there was predominantly no added MSG (enquired because I have an allergic reaction to higher quantities of MSG). Actually surprised they aren't a lot busier with such flavorsome food. Really enjoyed the tastes & atmosphere of a home cooked family meal. Also, great service - Peter was so friendly & accommodating. Worth the trip out to Yorkey's Knob!Thanks a million for your kind words.All the Best!

Sadly I left it till my last week to try this place.Its small with only a few tables, typical Japanese I guess.The food was fast fresh and pretty good.I only ordered the main stream teriyaki chicken bento box came with all the usuals.Pity I did not come here earlier as I would have spent more time here.

We ordered take away while staying in trinity beach. The spring rolls were tasty and massaman curry was also good. We were able to order tofu, even though I didn't see it listed in the take away menu. The restaurant was super clean and people working there (which I assumed are the owners) were friendly.
