Got a take-away here last night. The restaurant was empty, presumably because the entrance contained the owners kids, who were running around, shouting âwhat the ****â at the top of their voices and then collapsing in hysterical laughter. I got my food and left - and then found Iâd been shortchanged by a fiver. The phrase ânever againâ comes to mind. And I certainly wonât be going back.

While on holiday we visited last Sunday and ordered sweet and sour pork and sweet and sour King prawn, both with egg fried rice. When the food arrived the portion sizes was minuscule and I kid ye not, the pork pieces were no bigger than a Malteser and there was so little of it. But the King prawn? that was something else. Instead of whole King prawns in tempura batter that is served at Every one of the many Chinese Restaurants I have visited over many years, I was served what looked like butterfly prawns. As a retired Chef the dish looked like the cook had horizontally and thinly sliced the King prawns then covered them in batter effectively bulking out the dish to make it look like one was getting a lot when in fact, I very much doubt there were more than 3 whole prawns in the dish when elsewhere, one would normally get nine. That order accompanied by 2 pints of lager came to £30.70 and we both left the restaurant totally disgusted and still hungry.

Indian Ocean: Buffet and Grill A new restaurant just opened in Wrexham. We are located on 37 Ruthin road LL13 7TU opposite Morrissons. We have a 1 day buffet every Sunday with over 40+ items, a huge selection of wonderful dishes as well as having a sepera
Firstly and fairly, the food was tasty and varied. We asked for, and got, chips and nan bread which were lovely. The staff are brilliant, very friendly and helpful. My criticism is that the plates were cold making the food cold. They were in a plate warmer which obviously was not switched on. Some of the plates and cutlery were dirty. We arrived early and were the first there so there was plenty of food to start. A large group arrived and the food seemed slow to replenish afterward. The ice cream was hard to get out and just had bottom of the tub scrappings left, but I guess with all that tasty food there many guests would not have room for dessert. Get your plate warmer working and we will be back!

We offer restaurant quality South East Asian food in a fast food environment and served in a takeaway pail to go. Although you can eat in. We use fresh ingredients and each meal is cooked to order. Soon to be opening our first floor to offer a more restau
I was tempted by a Thai chicken salad and the description looked authentic. Opening the box was a bit surprising as the contents looked a bit like bits of curly chicken pieces with lots of onion and spring onions.... and no taste other than a bit of heat. Luckily the hotel room had biscuits. We have many very tasty options available at TryThai NoodleBar that are very popular. much of our business is repeat orders of favourite meals. Sorry the meal you tried on this occasion was not to your liking. Our Thai salads are authentic and particularly hot and mostly reserved for the specialist Thaifood dinner.

Black Peppers is a well know establishment in Wrexham with an excellent reputation for its exhilarating style of cooking and astounding wine selection. The head chef Babul Hussain and his talented team have revolutionised Indian and Bangladeshi cuisines,
Called for a curry and being a lone person expect to be put in a corner.I have been here before and had a nice meal. This time I asked to sit somewhere else as sitting in the middle you get everybody that enters pass you and them visiting the toilets also. Informed other tables are for four but he would ask the manager which he did but did not even look around and said no. With this I left and went to another restaurant nearby Will not use the black pepper again. unfortunately the preferred table you requested was already reserved and we was unable to accommodate a corner table for you. I am sorry for the misunderstanding. I am glad you enjoyed the food on the last visit and we will be happy to accommodate your request on your next visit when you book in advance.

Consistently excellent, fantastic food, staff and competitive prices. Service is spot on, the food hot and the beer cold. Whatever you order is perfect, and if you like theyll also spice it up for you. Must have eaten food from here 200 times or more over the years.... never fails, best restaurant in town.

Thank you, IJazz, for an excellent dining experience. Unfortunately I was away from home alone and so I wanted to dine somewhere I could feel comfortable. I was given a great welcome, seated in a good location (not hidden away in a corner, which would have made me uncomfortable). Straight away I was offered a drink and I met several different members of the waiting staff and they were all very friendly. The tables were all dressed really smartly ready for the evening and, even though I was dining midweek (about 6:30pm on Tuesday) the restaurant was nearly 50% full by 7:30pm. Iâm not sure how many covers the restaurant can take, though it seemed large. I think if you want to visit on the weekend, as a larger group or after 8pm weekdays, I would really encourage advanced booking to avoid disappointment.I was served with spicy poppadoms and pickles, a spicy pangash (fish fillet) starter and a speciality Welsh Lamb Bahar main course, which I asked for with a Madras flavoured sauce - the sauce is normally billed on the menu as Bhuna, but my own personal preference is for a little more heat.Highlights - poppadoms are normally served as a flat disc, not here. Very original presentation. Pangash fish is a catfish native to the Indian subcontinent and a favourite with Bangladeshiâs and Pakistan. It was very light and delicate, served with a choice of three complimentary sauces. One of their signature dishes is the Welsh Lamb Bahar. I saw some other reviewers who also enjoyed this dish and I can strongly recommend it, it wonât disappoint you. The Lamb was so delicious and tender, and the sauce flavoursome. I had it with a Peshawari Nan, but I donât know if it might have been even better with just plain bread like chapati or roti so as not to add too many other flavours. I think I would ask their advise on this if I were dining there again.Drinks - I accompanied my meal with Kingfisher beer which was perfectly fine for me. After my meal the Manager / Owner offered me a complimentary digestive drink, which I thought was a very nice gesture. My meal was under £35 inclusive of everything which I considered very reasonable. If you are resident, local to Wrexham or just passing through, I would strongly recommend this place.
