place delivers on all the important points; food, ambiance,cleanliness, bathrooms, service,english;owner, woo, charismatic; a place you want to spend more time than you initially thought;a keeper;relatively quiet neighborhood in my home town here , might make it quite romantic for some;inside, a/c; outside nicely covered;they have all the bases covered; not common around here;beer was warm but that is a 'no-die-today'Dear Sir, thank you for your review and we will keep trying to do the best as we can. I tried thier nam ngoew (noodle with spicy soup) and it tastes so good. The restaurant interior is in modern style combined with northern style atmosphere. Impressive! Never imagine I will found the hip local restaurant that has local cuisine with unique decoration in this small town! Itâs very clean and has open kitchen. The staff has good service mind. An authentic thai meal served in a rural hill town location. Fine barbequed chicken served on a bamboo clamp device. Rice noodle dish was good, rice noodle salad was a bit too spicy. Dessert of pineapple with sugar cane syrup was super. A very authentic experience, and served with love.

This restaurant offers both Western an Thai cuisine but the latter is a completely tasteless version of the real thing, probably specially prepared to be palatable by tourists. Quite an insult to the Thai cooking. On top of that they were out of their âsignature dishâ! Go in any small restaurant down the street and youâll have much better, only without the starched napkin!

We stopped here as there was a lot of mini buses with tourists. Food was good and reasonable priced. Wife said the toilets were very clean. Stop and take in the sights. Directly opposite where we are sitting is Myanmar with Laos on the distance on the other side of the Mekong River.

Upon visiting Chiang Kong, Padthai Baan Yim had been recommended ever since our very early visit. The place is still doing very well with providing delicious Padthai and other Thai dishes. We were never disappointed in having lunch or dinner there. However beware that the place close down in the afternoon before reopen in the evening. So it is best to check the opening hours.

We had the buffet lunch here last Sunday, very busy with coach party tours using it. The selection and quality were very good with dishes being constantly refilled the choice was excellent and a very pleasant lady cook/chef there to ask more about the ingredients very nice touch waiters were also excellent and very approachable. Happened to stay nearby and chanced upon this restaurant/cafe. Has really great ambience & food. Tried their lemon soda (real lemon juice), fried cheese wanton (really enjoyed this!) whilst my friends tried their coffee, mocca, green tea frappe and carbonara (was slightly dissapointing... the sauce was not that creamy)All in all a great stop for food and a break, the dining area on the first floor has air conditioning!Dear yewys,Greetings from 7he Vow!Thank you for sharing such a positive comments for our restaurant. Staying across the road from Jam and dropped in for dinner based on previous reviews. Not disappointed. The lady who runs Jam and cooks is lovely. The coconut chicken I had was the freshest and tastiest of all meals I have had in Thailand. Not to be missed on your way to Laos

i found here from tripadviser and i had lunch here with my friends at sala mae nam restaurant.
