Wife and I went Wed. evening 07/08/2019. Phoned beforehand to book table and asked about car parking. Helpful and friendly.Choose from eat as much menu cooked to order. Starters really good especially prawn tempura. Once had enough moved on to Soups - spicy veg. and Tom Yum and both were spicy as should be. Then chose various mains with Jasmine rice. Not large portions which then allowed us to order and try few more dishes. All arrived hot. Service good and fairly quick bearing in mind place was almost full upstairs and downstairs. Lots of vegetarian and some vegan choices too. Definitely worth another visit.

We had a table for 5 on a Tuesday night, all the food was to a good standard and decent portions. There are several house special selections which Iâd recommend.The best thing was the service from the staff though, very friendly and helpful, happy to stay open late until we were ready to leave.

Recently had a lovely evening meal in Kolkata. The manager Ali was was very welcoming and helpful for suggestions on what to try. The food was full of flavour and the portions are just right. Highly recommend the restaurant to others and shall be returning soon!

Arrived late home on the Sunday so arranged a take-away. Usually would have an Indian delivered but fancied something different and the Peking Dynasty deliver. Wish I hadn't !Each dish was just something 'limp' in some dark 'homogeneous' sauce. Nothing distinguishable at all. Bland, tasteless. Worst take-away (or eat in) Chinese I have ever had - and I have had a lot both here and abroad.Very, very poor.I really, really hope that Yummy is opened up with the new owners very soon.

Family tradition has always been to meet with friends on Christmas Eve and head to a local restaurant. This time we got ripped off and were overcharged and the waiter couldnât care less. We wonât be back and neither will our friends!

The four people at our table all had a different main dish and all were excellent. Tasty, great value and presented by friendly staff. Nice relaxed atmosphere and would stress food is really very good. Read website but just ignore elegant. Not a place to admire the decor but if you want very good indian cooking with value for money this is the place. Note bring your own booze but no corkage charged - can use pub opposite or bring a bottle(s). Enjoy your meal.

20 minutes after opening, there was a man hoovering and that stayed in the middle of the restaurant during our brief visit. My friend asked for a different glass as there was a chip in it and got a filthy look. The waiter just swopped it with a glass from another table. Have been to Hanney Spice several times and always ordered several starters rather than a main, leaving room for a dessert. This time the rude waiter said we couldn't order starters without a main and was very insistent about it, so we left. He followed us into the car park, saying we had to pay for what we'd ordered and was told to go away. He then said the chef would cook just starters, as if he was doing us a favour! Well done, Hanney Spice, for losing 2 customers in such a short time. No wonder your restaurant was empty. Needless to say, we went elsewhere and got starters, dessert and good service.

Came across this restaurant by chance, smelt the food before we found it. Had lunch, very quiet, the waitress was lovely and the food was very very good! We will definitely go back!
