Wineries are beginning to rival the sweet-tasting Walla Walla onion as the hallmark of this lovely town at the foot of the Blue Mountains. In fact, the combination of excellent wineries and appealing scenery has put Walla Walla on the map as one of the country's hottest new wine-touring regions. The town's rich history, starting with the Indian tribes who first settled here followed by the early pioneers, the establishment and subsequent tragic demise of a famous mission and then a gold rush, is also a tourist draw. Fascinating museums and historic attractions bring this past to life. Music and the arts are a vital part of this culturally conscious college town, which boasts one of the oldest symphony orchestras west of the Mississippi, frequent summertime blues and jazz concerts, arts festivals and at least 15 art galleries. A revitalized downtown features restored 19th-century buildings, restaurants, galleries and wine-tasting rooms. If you're itching for outdoor fun, head east for hiking, mountain biking and fishing in the Blue Mountains or take the relatively easy Stateline Loop bike trail to Oregon and back.

Came in here on two separate occasions. First time had a less than pleasurable experience. Food was great service was less than memorable. Orders were mixed up, some food was never received. Second visit was superb all the way around. One of the waitresses noticed I was very cold, she brought me a hot cup of water to warm my hands on then also brought me some hot tea without me even having to ask. She continued to check on multiple times to make sure I was staying warm. Food was just as good as the first time and the service was much better than the previous visit. Prices are very reasonable!! This establishment came highly recommended to me and now I am highly recommending it to everyone else.

No variety here. Come back a year later, exact same items out. A lot of them not even Chinese food. The bussers use to be right on drink refills & taking empty plates. Not this time. Several small kids left to run amok. Restaurant management just let them bother the diners.

We were hungry and we entered the Modern Restaurant. The server went immediately to us and welcomed us.This is a Chinese restaurant. The restaurant was comfortable and they had Asiatic Sculptures. There was an aquarium as well. When we received our meal, we had so much food. It was delicious and we had no choice to bring the rest to our car. We ate the rest the next day. We had another completely meal for both of us.It wasn't expensive and we were well taken care. Wow!A must see!

I love this place, the food is always tasty as can be. They have a lunch buffet on certain days that is well worth the asking price. I also like that they will make the food to your level of spiciness. Great cocktails too.If there is anything to carp about, it would be the wildly inconsistent preparation times. It has nothing to do with how busy they are, one of our worst wait times was when the place was virtually empty. It isnt always bad, but when it is you will be on your second drink before you see dinner. Overall, it is quite good, with just that one flaw.

At Soi 71, youâll taste Thai street food favorites including northern Thai noodle dishes, curries, and daily specials. Pair our spicy dishes with local wines, imported beers, or a creamy Thai tea. Our menu is both vegan and gluten-free friendly. For speci
Very good Thai food served in an interesting and attractive atmosphere. The egg rolls were very good, especially with the fried garlic that the waitress suggested we try. My green curry was delicious, but very spicy. My companion's noodle dish was delicious, and the heat level was moderate.

Very nice dining room in restored factory that shares space with Seven Rivers winery. Service was VERY slow, and not super friendly. My beef tenderloin was good, but unexceptional and served only with very plain mashed potatoes. Wifeâs smoked trout salad was OK but overdressed and a bit soggy with dressing. Wine list is very pricey.
