Really good selection, kids menu, quick service. Food was very fresh, really good sushi and friendly service. We also often order for delivery, they are very fast and reasonable for Switzerland.

This is a Mongolian style restaurant. There is a buffet layed out with raw ingredients. You pick the ingredients you wish along with a variety of oils and sauces, take them to the chef and he/she will stir fry them for you while you wait. Add the rice from the rice cooker and go and sit down and eat. The décor is nothing to write home about and does not even feel Asian, but at least it is clean and the service is prompt. The problem with this place is that the ingredients are of a very very poor quality. To the person who commented previously saying the ingredients were of good quality does not know what he is talking about. The beef and the turkey is RECONSTITUTED. So how can it be good quality? This is similar to how low quality ham, bolony and frankfurters are made for supermarkets. It is not real meat. It is made by animal bones being blasted with air to extract every piece of meat and cartilage, then it is pureed and shaped to look like meat. Do not be fooled into thinking it is real meat because it is not.The prawns/shrimps were tiny, still frozen and a tasteless already cooked farmed variety. The vegetables were totally uninviting and the sauces were watered down. The quality seems to be fine for the local Swiss Germans but for people like me who have had excellent Mongolian experiences, this place is not good at all.

This is one of my local Chinese restaurants and I am often happy with their food. They offer the typical westernized rubbish such as sweet & sour pork but also have more authentic dishes on their menu.I stopped by for lunch and felt like some dumplings. I ordered a large portion of wor tip pork dumplings and a couple of beers. Unfortunately the dumplings were too oily, The chef should have been more careful when preparing them. These dumplings are normally panfried on one side and then steamed. The chef must have added simply too much oil and the pan was probably not at a high enough temperature when the wor tip were added. This always results in the food absorbing too much oil. I informed the waitress and she thanked me for the comment.A couple of days prior, I ordered the same dish for a takeaway and it was perfect, along with the Uster spring roll (cheese in it:)) and shao mai. As they are the only Chinese restaurant that has a few types of dumplings in Uster, I will always return.

Went to this restaurant on Sunday late lunch. The momos and the other standard Asian food where really good. The place was ok. Only small negative point is the light smell of smoke from the bar at the side. In the past (when bars where not smoke free) would have not noticed it, today one noticed it. Will return and seat on the ice terrace

Well, what can I say about this place. It has quickly become my beloved Thai local. Not only are the owners wonderfully warm people, the food is authentic, the service is heartfelt and the entire experience is authentically Thai, including the décor. In the evening times they offer an à la carte menu consisting of a good variety of Thai curries, salads, soups and stir fries. I have already been more than 10 times often eating something different. Previously I would have had to trek all the way to Zürich city for a good curry, but not any longer, Wiang Phing has firmly secured it's place in my heart. My favorite would be the duck red curry served with rice. Simply DELICIOUS. Another favorite of mine is the noodle soup that they serve on Saturdays. Please make sure you tell the chef/owner how you like your food cooked, in terms of spiciness. If you want the real deal, she will do it for you, as she does for me. I have seen Thai ladies sobbing their way through Som Tam Thai salads owing to the numerous chilies :).Their prices are reasonable for Switzerland, the quality is exquisite and the portions are large. Number 1 in my book.At lunchtimes: they serve 4 different curries canteen style in chafing dishes. At dinnertimes: à la carte menu.Saturday lunchtime: Duck/Beef Noodle soup.

After walking by several times, I finally dropped in to try out their sushi. Let's get things straight first, in a landlocked country like Switzerland where the food culture is quite pathetic, I was extremely skeptical about what to expect here. As most of the expats living in Switzerland will attest to, hospitality is NOT good. Asian foods are prepared to local watered down swissified tastes and European foods are drowned in aromat, their local seasoning that is added to everything and dominates everything.I was surprised, to be honest, because I received dishes that were better than expected. This place is unfortunately not very busy and only does well on Wednesday and Sunday evenings when they offer an all you can eat buffet for CHF 39.When I lunched, there was only 1 other table and 2 takeaways. This is when one questions the quality of the fish used in the making of the sushi. How fresh is it? How are they storing it? What do they do with the defrosted fish that's not sold? Do they refreeze it? etc...Nevertheless, I ordered a number of sushi rolls, a tuna tataki and several beers. All the sushi were decent apart from the Italian roll which is made with cooked tuna. My favourite was the unagi roll. As a massive fan of unagi, I was pleased with what I was served. They didn't overly drown the eel in the unagi sauce so one could still taste the eel itself. I did enjoy my lunch, but it simply was not outstanding. The best thing on offer here was the service. I was taken care of by 2 lovely hospitality students who were doing their practical training here. As it's the only place in Uster that offers sushi and the quality is decent, I shall return. Perhaps to try out their buffet...Thanks for the great service!p.s. This place belongs to the Chinese restaurant group Suan Long.
