This restaurant is small in size, but offers reasonably priced meals. I recommend trying their Okinawa soba. You can get a good serving for 600 or 700 yen, depending on the variety. The restaurant is close to the famous "Kokusai Doori", but it's very quiet (and not a tourist trap).
We were looking for something different from our normal ramen dinner, and found this on trip advisor. We got the butter chicken curry and the pork curry. Both were really good. The naan was exceptional! Also, the waiter spoke English very well! The only thing we didn't like was the chicken choula. It had a LOT of fresh ginger, and it wasn't really our thing. Beware, the dishes are quite spicy and they didn't ask for our spice level. When I go back I will make sure to ask for more mild.
The food here was phenomenal. One of the best Indian restaurants I've ever dined in. Our server (a gentleman) was very attentive and friendly. The older lady working the counter was rude and kept giving me dirty looks. I really wanted to go back for another meal but didn't because of that....

Mikado was a nice local eatery run by four older ladies cooking up some simple Okinawan meals along with the usual Japanese dishes. The retro vibe of the place was inviting and had an authentic feel. The Okinawan soki soba (noodles with pork rib topping) had pretty big chunk of ribs and the tofu champuru (stir fried tofu) was a good alternative to goya champuru (bitter melon stir fry). Katsudon (fried pork fillet over rice) was also filling and tasty.

Had the best dinner in our Okinawa visit here in Aguncha Restaurant. This restaurant comes highly recommended by other reviewers and we weren’t disappointed. Rather than ordering a la cat, we took advantage of their 2,000yen 7-course set dinner. Every dish was delicious and wonderfully presented. The set dinner enabled us to tried several Okinawa special cuisines - Agu Pork, sea grapes, Okinawa bitter melon, parrot fish sashimi, grilled fish etc. Quantity was more than sufficient but you won’t be overstuffed. Every dish was excellently prepared, presented and served in a steady but leisurely pace. We didn’t feel rushed. The best thing was that there was an English Menu, most serving staff can speak excellent English and genuinely happy to serve us. The experience made the whole meal feel special. At the end, the restaurant even gave each of us a pair of chopsticks as souvenir. Aguncha is a small restaurant. Reservation is a must. It is very close to the Tomari pier. The set dinner required at least 3 persons in order to order.

We had such a great experience at Yunangi. We were lucky that we arrived at around 6.30pm on a Saturday night, and only had to wait about 10 mins before being seated. We were given one of the tables on the raised floor which was fun. Whilst waiting we had ordered and so food started to arrive soon after we had been seated. We got a few dishes to share and all were excellent. The miso pork was very good with a real depth of flavour and succulent meat. We also had a lovely tofu dish with mwat, which was my favourite, and a few other stir fried dishes which were equally good.By the time we were finishing our meal, the queue was out the door which showed how popular the place is. We were really pleased with our meal and so happy to have tried some fantastic Okinawan cuisine.

Tedako is a busy Okinawa soba restaurant and understandably so. We were about 5th in line to get in on a Sunday at around 1.30, but the queue shortened fast and we were soon seated with well thumbed menus in English. The food came promptly and was delicious. My kind of place. Excellent!

English review is avaliable after the japanese one. Every summer when I came back in Okinawa I go to Umichika Shokudou (witch mean "cafeteria close from the sea). Food isn't the best in the island but it's good enough and the atmosphere of the place is simple but agreeable. In summer maybe eating in the outside would be pretty hot but this also is a good "Okinawa" experience. My choice in Umichika is the "Sooki Soba", a hot soba soup with meat. Delicius!

Housed in a traditional Okinawa building, you can have a meal facing the garden; the whole atmosphere was good. Food wise was average - had the set with soba (this is more akin to chinese noodles than ramen, with pork soup broth), some appetizers, and jyushi (mixed rice). Expect to wait around 15 to 20 minutes during peak lunch hours.
