Things to do in Upper Darby
What a lovely place. It's large, but feels cozy. The waitstaff are personable. Food is good and presented prettily. You can have two people, a family or a banquet. It is in the old Virginia Donut 'factory", in fact, there are historical pictures of the neighborhood, near the restrooms.

We were looking for a low key place after a tiring week. Most places in Philly are so loud, you can barely hear yourself! This place has a lovely ambience, prompt service and good food. We had garlic shrimp, wonton, noodle soup abd of course, the grilled shrimp. And, it's fairly decently priced.

I live in DE, but I travel to Philly, NY, and Virginia fairly often. I do like my Korean Fried Chicken and have to travel at least an hour to get it. Thankfully, BB.Q is now open in Upper Darby, about a 40 minute drive for me. I can do my Asian grocery shopping and pick up some BB.Q while I'm in the area. There are few chains, but BB.Q is one of the biggest globally. The wings are a good size and there are several sauces to choose from. My personal favorite is soy garlic, but you can also get it without sauce. Choose wings, drumsticks, or larger portions. The presentation is outstanding, and I feel like they could save money by losing the high quality packaging.

An ultra-modern oasis in welcoming University City, Pod bends time, bringing fun-filled, futuristic dining into the present. The action starts in the lounge, where guests gather to sip colorful cocktails, people-watch and catch up with friends. Lunch and
Fusion style menu. Mid-range food at 'fine dining' prices.Based upon its reputation and reviews, our granddaughter reserved for four to help her celebrate hir university graduation. It is beautiful, and the dishes that were not sushi were rather good. The sashimi was worse than disappointing. The serving of 2 pieces of hirame was about the size of a quarter coin, but a bit thicker; price $6. In comparison, the macadamia chicken was a large serving and very good; price $20.In reviewing our total order, we'd consider POD to have quality appropriate for a mid-range restaurant. Except for the sashimi, the quantity of each dish was satisfactory. We did get a couple of unusual desserts that were okay: tasted above average with rather high prices (appropriate for a 'fine dining' establishment. The music is loud; therefore, to be heard across the table you have to be loud. This was not what any of us expected. In fact, it was so loud that it took awhile after we left for our hearing normal conversation to return.

At last, an authentic Thai restaurant in Philly, but it's actually in Upper Darby. Well made curries that don't pander to the American palate. Very reasonable prices, down-to-earth ambience. BYOB.

Our family has been frequenting this wonderful family-owned and run restaurant for more than 2 decades; our children have grown up with Nancy and Edward and have enjoyed their authentic Vietnamese cuisine for most of their lives. The food is always consistently EXCELLENT, the service is always attentive, and no special orders are too much (hold the onions, please substitute tofu for squid, etc)The Vietnamese crepe, the summer rolls as well as the spring rolls are exquisite appetizers. The soups are all very tasty and interesting, and the main dishes are always fresh, delicious and plentiful. Little Saigon is a real find in Upper Darby. Give yourself a big treat and try it! You won't be disappointed!

They have 3/4 locations in and around Philadelphia area. The one on Lancaster is the best. I tried the Seafood in Birds Nest. It came in a too cute edible bowl. I loved the combination of all seafoods and some greens. Dumpling was good too. Nice and clean restaurant.
