Ate here on a Wednesday evening and were the only people in the Northport location. Although items on the lunch menu come with a choice of soup, along with rice, the dinner menu comes only with rice, although soup or egg rolls may be substituted for a small upcharge. However, the portions on the dinner menu are massive. My wife orderd the Orange Chicken and I opted for the Cashew Chicken. Both dinners came piled high in a large dinner plate, with the rice served on a separate smaller plate. We shared some of each others meal, and we agreed that both were delicious, and much more that either of us could eat. Prices and service were good, with the only downside being that my wife's preferred beer selection was not available, The restaurant is small, with no frills, but food is always tasty and plentiful.

Our first time for Pho and it was pleasantly good. I just got the one with the beef in it but my husband got the one with everything in it. My husband wasn't fond of some of the other things that were in it - but after picking some things out, he was good with it. The spring rolls (raw) were good and the peanut sauce was tasty. For our first time with Pho, it was good!

This was my first visit to this restaurant. It was a Thursday night and it was not crowded. Our waiter was attentive and offered suggestions and answered questions. The food was prompt and the presentation was nice. Serving size was plentiful. I had cashew chicken and it was wonderful! The four of us agreed we will eat here again. Oh, the prices were great and I feel an excellent value. The ambiance is plain but the restaurant is clean, good food and service and I recommend it to you.

The food is great, altough the soy sauce is not excelent, they should put a little Orange and lemon as is propper to, otherway tastes too salty.A little overpriced compare to other restsurants, and has this bleach smell a little to strong for the eating mood.

Where can you go to satisfy your sushi craving without breaking the bank? Hokkaido in Tuscaloosa, AL, of course! With some of the best, freshest sushi in the area and a delicious hibachi grill, you'll get your fill at Hokkaido.
Hokkaido never disappoints! Fridays and Saturdayâs usually have a ridiculous wait time but the wait is worth it! Helpful staff and lots of fun! Only reason I wouldnât rate excellent is because of parking.. they need to figure out something. Itâs way to crowded on the weekends.

...the Thai food was very good. We went, primarily, for sushi and sashimi. Sadly, we just didn't find those options to be plentiful. However, my wife had a dish called Yum Woon Sen, which is noodles, ground pork and shrimp, celery, onion, tomatoes in spicy lime sauce on a bed of crispy lettuce. She asked for the "hot" spice. Not the Thai hot. You know how some places' hot is just really...isn't? Well, this one IS. Very tasty. I like the decor, but I'm sorta weird about that. Bottom line: won't go for sushi/sashimi, but would go back for Thai. Very friendly staff.

I don't know what accounts for the high reviews here. I thought it was just average college town food. The spicy chicken coconut milk soup was simply salty and underflavored otherwise. The very spicy stir fried beef with lettuce wraps came with hard cabbage wraps instead and wasn't spicy at all--again, just salty. Decent wine by the glass and nice service, but stay away if you know real Thai food.

If you are really hungry they have hearty dishes with and without meat. Traditional soup bowls for sharing. But you can get just a nice bowl of soup for one. Not cheap eats for a college town but overall a good price. We usually have leftovers. Group fav is sizzling rice soup. Not too miss a side of cabbage and I add it to my noodles--ahhh--mazingly yummy. They will make gluten free with or with out gluten free sauce when asked. Also, if you are sensitive to garlic make mention to let them know if you want light or no garlic. Try a cup of hot green tea and ask for a glass of ice to enjoy the rest of the pot iced down. Its always great to see employees enjoying a meal as well. All the staff close to closing gets a meal and sit at tables to enjoy. Makes me feel like the restaurant is solid.
