We recently tried Red Moon because my wife and daughter were craving something Thai. I don't care for Thai, but do love good Chinese food. I got the Beef and Broccoli, which was a far cry above what you will find at your typical Chinese buffet. My wife and daughter both REALLY loved their curry-rich dishes and are begging me to take them back. The staff was friendly and the prices were fairly reasonable.

.....After reading over reviews for many Tahlequah eateries we decided on the New China Buffet... Not a good choice. While the offerings were plenty, the taste was lacking in everything compared to the many other China buffets we've patronized... and the dinner is overpriced...!Sorry, I seldom comment negatively..Cya down the road... .. .O o- Carl (BC Mayor..=)~

Tahlequah has an overabundance of Chinese buffets. If you want to sit down an order a meal then Asian Star is your best bet. They have a selection of traditional Americanized Chinese food (ie broccoli beef, kung pao chicken, etc) but they also have several Japanese options including udon and sushi. Another strength is that this restaurant does delivery and supports online ordering.

This buffet was at one time the only in the Tahlequah area and still many locals swear by it. We now have two others to choose from however, with much larger dining areas and selections. The food is good though with a decent array of selections considering the size of the building. Service is also somewhat limited. Sundays are packed so plan ahead.
Where to eat Diner food in Tahlequah: The Best Restaurants and Bars
We've only been to our fairly new Buffalo Wild Wings twice (once for lunch, once for dinner), but had a similar experience both times. From being seated to getting our food took about an HOUR. Food was pretty good, although pricey since french fries (for example) are NOT included without paying extra. The dinner experience last week was even worse, since their machines were down, which prevented us from using a gift card (otherwise we wouldn't have gone), AND did not allow us to log any rewards points. Very disappointing (and expensive) visit.
