The food here is as good as any Iâve had in the us: the phó is flavorful and loaded with noodles and meat; the banh mi is authentic and substantial. What separates Phó Bánh from great Vietnamese restaurants is the service: there ainât any. You order from a counter, you fetch your own drinks, you bus your own table. Which I donât mind, except that youâre paying full-service prices.
I have lived in Utah for just a little over a year now. This was arguably the worst experience dining experience that I have had. When I walked through the entry and caught the smell of the restaurant, I should have turned around. It smelled like dirty carpet, among other things. I have never gone into a restaurant and been overwhelmed by the smell like this. Thankfully, the horrible smell was mainly relegated to the entry and front end of the restaurant. The dining area wasn't as bad.You are given a small bowl of crispy wonton skins and sweet and sour sauce for dipping. These were fine and probably the best thing I ate there.I ordered a cup of the hot and sour soup and one of their chef's specialties: Mandarin Delight (i believe that is what it was called). The soup was heavy on the sour side. I am used to a deep, rich color and flavor -- this had neither. I did not finish the soup. The Mandarin Delight just wasn't good at all. The shrimp were inedible. I realize that Utah is land-locked and ordering any seafood can be dicey. I ate one of the shrimp -- it had a very strong aftertaste. Enough that I wasn't going to dare eat another one. The vegetables were very odd. There was little consistency in size and cutting. I had one "chunk" of carrot that at least 3/4 of an inch thick, while others were thinly sliced. The sauce was described as "light", which I later realized meant no flavor. The BBQ pork in the dish resembled lunch meat that had been sliced up. The chicken, however, was pretty good. The server was very nice and attentive. I was very happy she didn't ask me how my meal was -- I wasn't sure how to tell her that it was the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten and that the restaurant needed a deep cleaning. She could probably tell be the amount of uneaten food that I did not enjoy it.I have gone to restaurants here in Utah and have not had good meals. I tend not to do reviews on those, especially if they are mom and pop shops and the servers were nice. I give them the benefit of the doubt that maybe I just caught them on a bad day. This, however, was truly just terrible. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

Had a very enjoyable breakfast at Star Cafe, nice selection, quick service, way to much food! It was hot and fresh. I could only eat have of my order. We stayed and visited with friends and they were not trying to push you out the door. Definitely recommend for breakfast!

It's the Saturday after Thanksgiving and I don't know where people are but they're not here. Last time we went turned out to be homecoming night and I swear every teenage couple in Davis and Weber county were here. The food was great and the customer service was great. They need a calendar on their website with a high school date night warning.

There are only a couple of really great sushi places in Davis/Weber county and this is one of them. We try to go over on half price Tuesdays.

I had their Hawaiian Shrimp, now I am not sure why strawberry sauce and strawberries slices made it Hawaiian. That being said, it was very tasty and presented well. I would and will go back here again.

This is by far the best Chinese food place over ever eaten at! And I think the best Chinese food in Utah!! Always my go to for Chinese food and just introduced a bunch of my family to it today and they all loved it!!
Super friendly service that was very on point. The staff (owners) are more than happy to explain the menu items and make a recommendation. I had the beef bulgogi with veggies. Very tasty. I also had the dumplings and I ate them all myself!

It pains me to write a mixed review of Thai Jasmine, since the staff were so nice and friendly. But the food was mediocre, at best - well below expectations. Maybe this is because we availed ourselves of the buffet instead of ordering off the menu. The pad thai was drenched in sauce, almost soupy. The other dishes (which included an odd wonton-looking thing stuffed with slightly sweetened cheese of some sort) were so-so. Zero atmosphere, and points off for the television on the wall.

This is not the place to experience great ambiance. But it is great for friendly service and fabulous food. My vegetarian wife got tofu selections even though it was not listed on the menu. The people who own this are from Thailand and they are quite adept at their trade. My wife RAVED about her Tofu Pad Thai (I'll take her word for it). My selection was quite good though I'm looking forward to trying other offerings. Hope you enjoy the photos and do make a bee line for this yummy eatery.
