Things to do in Sukhothai
This nice little restaurant is located near the historical park in old Sukhothai. We had our meals here twice. Nice Thai dishes for an affordable price. Good service. Fun to sit outside and watch as people go by.thank you

Sukothia Kitchen is across the street from our hotel Le Charme. It made sense for us to just walk there and eat dinner. We were not disappointed. They had a wide selection of dishes and they served alcohol (if you are a drinker). Their dining area can accommodate probably 100 people if not more. It is wide and settled around tropical plants. Their service was good. We were able to eat at the same time as they served our meals simultaneously. I am not sure if servers can speak English. We had a guide who translated everything and helped place our orders.
During a round trip in northern Thailand we spent a day in Sukhothai. In the evening we stopped at Pimmy's House for dinner (not too many places to eat out downtown). We met very friendly hosts, a nice lady and her husband - the restaurants ownern. The food was excellent (Thai food and international cusine) and we also had a nice conversion with the owners. She even spoke some german (and offers quite a few options for traditional German food on the menu). Since we had some trouble with a cash drawal at an ATM nearby just before dinner, we told them about the story and they instantly offered us to help by translating to Thai language if needed when dealing with the bank clerk the next day. After having a really tasty dinner and nice time the owners even gave a little present to us - some delicious cookies :-)We definitely recommend going there if You are at Sokhothai :-)

Nice looking place and friendly staff. That's about all the positive things I could find. As for the food, it was arguably the most disappointing one we had in 2 weeks of travel. OK this is a touristic restaurant, with 100% foreign customers. We didn't expect a great meal. But what's the point of having 100+ items on a menu if none of them is well done ? We went for the most simple, local dishes and even those were a no-go : tasteless noodles bathing on oil and water, no flavors whatsoever. Dishes coming from another restaurant's kitchen next door, others heading to the neighboring café... Seems all these tourist traps work together. From now on, I will avoid the entire area less than 200 meters from the site entrance and just eat in a cheapie by the night market.

nice cafe, food available here. locates very near to Sukhothai Historical Park on the roadside. I can take a small break here after bicycling around the ruins. Cafe is air conditioned so I got a very relaxing time here. The price is reasonable.

We were staying at Ruean Thai hotel so decided to eat at the hotel as it was easy. We ended up having lunch and dinner on the second day as well ! The food was very good and reasonably priced.

Chopper Bar had an extensive cocktail menu and all were reasonably priced. It had the best location for drinking with its rooftop seating (although New Sukhothai didnât have much of a view). Their squid fried rice, papaya salad, and shrimp tempura made for some good snacks to go with the Singha beers.

Fantastic food! Delicate, elegant presentation, fresh, very good service. Very few people visit it. Excellent ambience! It looks like an antique house. Beautiful house located at old Sukhothai. Because of its quality, the prices are higher than other places.Only issue is that it make take one hour to get the plates ready, one hour for the appetizers, one hour for the main dish. The food is excellent and it is worth waiting. Just be aware. They take their time preparing the dishes. Our hotel was located in the New Sukhothai. We hired a tuk tuk. It took one hour to arrive to the place. We left by 1000 pm. We asked the tuk tuk driver to come back for us at that time. Otherwise, it would have been difficult to get transportation back to the hotel.

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner after a long bus ride from ayutthaya, needless to say we were starving. I went for the green chicken curry with rice whilst he has the fried chicken with garlic and we shared a vegetable spring rolls. It was all amazing. Incredibly fresh and tasty and the staff spoke excellent English. It was well within our budget costing just 360 baht for a main and drink each, some spring rolls and pancakes! We enjoyed it so much we came back for breakfast. Would definitely recommend!

This restaurant seems to attract western tourists, such as they are in that part of the country, with a menu that is half Thai and half western. The Thai food was good with big portions and very reasonable prices. Why anyone would go to Thailand to eat spaghetti and chips I've no idea.
