Living in Whitehaven Monday to Friday, I regularly eat in and take away and believe the Jasmine Palace is excellent value for money. I'm slowly working my way through their menu and they have excellent choice, too many to be honest. Favourite to date, Sesame chicken and chilli or chicken and cashew nuts.

Had a delightful evening at this restaurant. We had mixed starters which were really tasty, then we all had different main courses. We all chose well. No complaints. Each dish was delicious.

Visited friends who live locally and like this takeaway. We all ordered and had it delivered. The food was really good and plentiful, so much so that we didn't manage to finish it though we only ordered five mains between six people. We ate from all the dishes and they were all excellent. Would certainly recommend, they even arrived quicker than they had said.

Been using Orchid Manor for delivered food for around a year now, and I thought it was about time I wrote this review. The delivery we got tonight inspired me because as usual, the food was absolutely delicious and always has been, even though it's delivered. The stir fried mixed veg we got tonight (as a side dish) was perfect! Just on the crunchy side, and really tasty. I wouldn't be surprised if the chef takes the food's journey into account, as to how much he/she cooks it in the kitchen, they were so good. One of these days we'll go down and eat in the restaurant. My wife's just finished hers as I type (Mixed Veg Foo Yung) and looks like she's gonna pass out with pleasure. As for the delivery service, always been here with time to spare and friendly staff.

The restaurant is rather small and about a five-minute walk from the railway station. But it has a very extensive menu, a friendly and relaxed staff, and the meal was very tasty and would be enjoyed by any lover of Indian/BanglaDeshi food. It was served hot and in an attractive manner. The prices are quite reasonable and certainly value for money. We would not hesitate to eat there again next time we are in Whitehaven.

We decided to give this restaurant a try while driving back from a day trip to St Bees. The place didn't look much from the outside, but we read lots of good reviews on Trip Advisor and gave it a go anyway. The place was quiet when we first arrived, which was around 7pm on a Tuesday evening. Within half an hour or so, the place started filling up with people, lots of people coming and going for take-aways too, which is always a good sign. Staff were friendly and the food was very tasty indeed. They had a large menu with some variations on common dishes that was good to see. Would definately come back the next time we are in Whitehaven.

Great variety selection of teas to choose from with various prices. All looked beautiful but.....We had the traditional which you got one cup of coffe/tea with a variety of sandwiches which had plastic ham and plastic beef, sausage roll, awful little pie, piece of quiche, a scone with jam and cream + 2 cakes, scone was the best thing there.Mediterranean was served with a glass of prosecco (no tea or coffee offered) bread, crackers, cheese n meat with olivesFunky had the little pie, sausage roll, burger, chicken wings, onion rings, potato wedges popcorn, crisps and 2 cakes ( no drink at all with this one)GB gentlemans selection of plastic sandwiches, pies, quiche sausage roll crisps n dips with a pint ( no tea/coffee)None badly priced really but won't be going back, how can you set a table up with tea cups but not offer any for an afternoon tea and serve plastic meat?
