Party of six,Saturday night,no problem booking, great large table in elegant surroundings.Attention to detail shows in the cutlery, crockery, glassware, menus, napkins etc.Service excellent with friendly unobtrusive but helpful and knowledgeable staff.Food fresh cooked to order I would especially recommend the zhool murgh, nice wine and all reasonably priced. This is a restaurant that serves Indian food as opposed to an Indian Restaurant or Curry House. One of our party who travels extensively states this is the best food outside of Syhlet.Well done again to Shah and team for consistency and quality.

Visited the red dragon on a Monday evening. If you look at the rest of my reviews Iâm easy going and rarely give a bad one but this is probably the worst review and experience Iâve had in a restaurant. The only good thing was the 2 girls who worked serving the customers they were as helpful and polite as they could be and very apologetic.I visited this restaurant with a friend who is gluten free. She ordered vegetable spring roles for starter and soup was served. Waitress took it back and brought the spring roles which had prawns in them. Vegetable spring roles with prawns?????????Waitress took them back and we could hear the chef shouting at the girl NO MORE repeatedly, Iâm presuming that he was meaning he wasnât happy that both orders were wrong and had been sent back. I could hear the girls trying to explain to the chef that the menu states vegetable spring roles but it had prawns in but he didnât seem to think that was a problem, because of this we decided to leave, 1 because the attitude of staff ( not the girls) and 2 if they are going to serve veg spring roles with prawns in them then they canât be trusted to serve gluten free.Well never go back and I will not recommend this place to anyone!

Another place we visit every time we visit my son. Recently refurbished The Radhuni offers pleasant surroundings, good service and very reasonable prices. Weâve tried a variety of dishes over our visits and none have disappointed, Onion Bhajis are highly recommended by my husband!

11 of us went here for a meal. It was a Thursday night 7pm and we were seated straight away because the place was empty. Trying to get drinks was a joke. Eventually when it came to our turn we asked for a bottle of prosecco, they said theyâd bring it to the table!!!15 minutes later one of the waitresses returned from Tesco with a bottle of prosecco!!! She poured the prosecco out but it was obviously warm. We refused it and were asked if we wanted ice!!!NO we donât like our prosecco watered down!!!Taking the orders was farcical, and nearly half an hour later after being asked where our food was - our starter arrived. It was Luke warmThen the main course - again it was like warm..... I will never return to this restaurant.

I brought my partner here for the Sunday lunch buffet. We were both impressed with the lovely decor, cleanliness and warm welcome from the team. All the staff were attentive and helpful. We really enjoyed the tasty starters, especially the prawn toast and the sweetcorn fritters. Thai Green Chicken curry was delicate and delicious. I loved the desserts, cakes, cream and the banana in coconut milk was a real treat! We will be back : )

Contemporary indian cuisine
A party on four dined on Thursday evening and all participants were highly satisfied. The consistent quality of the food, attentive and friendly service, warm atmosphere and value for money are (in my experienced opinion) second to none in the town. Every one of our various dishes was delicious. For the spice loving palette I must recommend the Naga Tuk Tuk which is an exciting blend of flavours.

Indian Street Food restaurant.
This restaurant has been open for about a year now and it quickly became our "go to" venue. It's unique among a plethora of Indian restaurants along the famous Ocean Rd. It offers something different, authentic Indian street food. There's lots of new and exciting dishes to try or if you prefer something more traditional, there are plenty of options. You can also have small plates, tapas style if you will. This is great for sharing or for trying out new and unknown dishes. The decor is great, I love the modern style from the wall mounted tuk-tuk to the vintage Bollywood posters. You can tell the owner has taken great pride in the appearance of the restaurant. One final comment, the staff have always been courteous, knowledgeable and extremely friendly. My wife and I, highly recommend Delhi 6 and will continue to be regular visitors.

I donât eat out in South Shields , but I make this place a exception , itâs good value for money , if you know what youâre doing , make sure your hungry and get your moneyâs worth !. Donât eat the cheap stuff either like the chips pizzas or smiley faces lol, go straight for the lamb ribs , chicken and beef kebabs etc . Some really tasty food there , perfect for a informal dinner with friends . Really good selection all freshly replenished and hot . Even deserts are nice , there is some rubbish stuff too but thatâs the good thing about a buffet you can pick and choose what you like and what looks nice . 8.6/ 10 Thatâs a review !Hi!Great to hear you enjoyed your visit and i'll pass your kind words on to the rest of the team!

My wife and I, after hearing some very good comments, booked a meal for last Thursday evening at SHAMPAN. From the moment we entered the restaurant we were impressed by the general ambience, and the immediate attention given to us by the staff. Sitting in a small waiting area, within a few minutes we had ordered and received our drinks. Shortly afterwards we were taken to our table and given the food menus. We chose our meals from the quite extensive, and reasonably priced, fixed price menu (available on Thursday and Sunday evenings). Our four courses, including papadoms, were delivered in very good time. The meal was excellent, and before it ended we both agreed that this is now our favourite Indian restaurant in the general area of Newcastle Upon Tyne. We must compliment Kami and his team for providing us with an excellent night-out. Their friendliness and efficiency is to be commended. Well done SHAMPAN. we will certainly be returning in the very near future.
