We arrived at about 8.30pm which is late by Tibetan standards as were were misled by a totally inaccurate map locator which sent us in the wrong direction. They were in the process of closing for the night but welcomed us in and prepared a good clean meal for us. It was much appreciated.

My husband and I ate here one night while in Shigatse. The restaurant was near our hotel the Gesar....I ordered Momo's however the staff spoke no English so the waiter called someone on the phone and he interpreted for us.The Momo's were good but my husband not realizing the cost ordered a leg of lamb and was shocked to find out it was $50. The most expensive of our trip. It was overcooked (charred) and was not served with anything else. There was some Tibetan singers which was a nice touch and the authentic Tibetan decor is very interesting to walk around and look at. It is a warm and cozy restaurant....just double check the price before you order.....

It is upstairs, just near the Gang Gyantse Shigatse Hotel
My wife and I would recommend this restaurant as it serves Nepali and Indian type food. Sure there are some local specialties; Hello Yak steak! In which we did not indulge.Vegetable curry, the Naan bread were tasty and exactly what was needed. Also ordered a Chicken Masala curry which was less successful, not bad but ok.Lots of foreign visitors and the lady serving us was pleasant but overwhelmed. I would recommend this place for dinner without hesitation.
