Was looking forward to trying this restaurant as we have visited Thailand many times sadly we will not be going back! Very bland food my Penang curry was all peppers and hardly any chicken. The service was very quick so we were only in there for an hour! So got the feeling the food was pre prepared. The dim sum was slimy and not piping hot as steamed dumplings should be. A shame because there are not many places to eat out in Sherborne.I am sorry you felt it was not authentic. I did ask you during your meal if everything was OK.I can assure you that it isn't pre cooked and you should know that when you are in Thailand food is cooked and served very quickly as it is done fresh in a wok. You were the first table in that evening so there was no delay in cooking your meals. You also commented that it was nice to have a Thai restaurant in Sherborne

4 of us visited the Fortune Palace for the first time, restaurant had no record of our on line confirmed Saturday night booking however âfoundâ us a table in their practically empty dining room. We all ordered the £19.99 per person all you can eat buffet so after a mixed selection of starters we then chose 2 dishes each plus rice & noodles to share for the main meal. 3 of us didnât have to wait very long for our food to arrive whist our 4th member sat waiting for their chosen meal. We finally called waiter over to ask when missing food would be served only to be told that in their âopinionâ we had ordered too much and they wouldnât serve the extra dishes until all other food had been eaten! They reluctantly brought one more dish out but their attitude had really spoilt our evening. This âall you can eat buffetâ is an absolute con as our experience proves its anything but that. We did not order an excessive amount in fact no more than weâd normally have on an evenings takeaway. The restaurant also has a policy that if you over order on dishes then you will be charged £3 extra per dish not eaten so how they have the audacity to withhold ordered food without even informing the customer of their decision is disgraceful and the worst case of customer service Iâve ever experienced in my life. Such a shame as weâve no complaints for the quality of the food as that was good however the lack of restaurant ambience, professionalism and customer service means we will not be returning to this establishment again. Wish Iâd read other Facebook reviews as weâre not an isolated case, it would seem itâs become normal practice at this restaurant.

Went in (not booked) Friday 7.00 ish. Explained we needed to catch the train an hour or so later. Drinks and food came quickly, friendly service. The portions are on the large side - for two we had Chicken Dhansak, Veg Biryani, and a Naan and it was more than enough. Bill was £33 including two pints of Cobra. Will definitely go back.
