On a recent motorcycle ride, I found this restaurant via Trip Advisor and also suggested by the hotel where I was staying. Since I really enjoy authentic Korean food, I was happy to see that this place had Bibimbap, a favorite of mine. It was hot and quite tasty, I was really happy.I was hoping to have a cold Japanese beer with the meal but the restaurant doesn't serve any alcohol, just soft drinks and water. The young person at the front counter was pleasant. The restaurant closes at 9pm so my arrival at 8:30pm apparently wasn't a problem. As I was eating my food, a car of people showed up at about 8:45pm. One of the cooks could be heard in the kitchen, using the F-word generously to express his displeasure with the idea of a group of customers coming into the restaurant 15 minutes before closing. Most restaurants would welcome more business but this kitchen staff wanted to close for the night (it was Saturday.) The cook came out of the kitchen and turned off the "Open" sign in the window. The group of people getting out of the car were stunned as they looked at their watches, the sign on the door, the cook and the sign which no longer welcomed them into the restaurant. Ok, this doesn't reflect on the quality or safety of the food cooked, but it was shockingly poor customer service.

Our family-owned restaurant was established in 1975. We were the very first Chinese Restaurant in Sequim. Our Owner and Master Chef, Mr. Lee, first visited Sequim as a youth. From that moment on, Mr. Lee decided that he wanted his future to be here. In 19

We stopped for lunch and started with fresh pork and shrimp rolls. I had shrimp BBQ pork pho, and my wife had the beef barley soup and a Turkey sandwich. She makes most dishes from scratch so be patient. Real good Pho with fresh vegetables and rice noodles. The beef soup was very good too! Ely is wonderful to talk to and very nice, her food is great. We will be back next time we are in town!

We've been going to this restaurant now for a couple of years and the food is fantastic! The owners and their children are wonderful and cheerful servers. Food is made fast and brought to you with a smile. Love the Hot N Sour soup, wontons, sweet n sour chicken and fried rice is perfect. Highly recommend!

Called for takeout after arriving at our hotel on a Friday evening. We ordered Bangkok beef, paad thai, and pineapple fried rice. They were very busy and the wait was about 45-50 minutes, but the food was fresh, delicious, and worth the wait.

We discovered this resturant about a year ago. We avoided it after it opened because we saw very few if any cars in the lot. We were raised with the Trucker's mentality: Go where the action is!Thanks to the person that told us to go there! The Chinese Resturant we have patronized for years has cut their portions so much and raised their prices. We used to get two meals with the Doggie Bag. No More!My wife believes that the Honey Walnut Praws are to die for! Only on the Dinner Menu, so we save them for special treats. I agree: 12 Large Prawns and the Sauce is Great! We could actually split it!We mostly go for late Lunch, 11-3PM,and get a full meal for $7.75/7.95. Then either have a 7:00PM refuel or save for Lunch the next Day!Everthing we have tried has been excellent and worth the trip. The Family works at making your visit pleasant

I really liked their sushi rolls, we had a salmon skin, unagi, and Cali with a bento box. Also beef yakisoba, and generals shrimp. The latter was the least favorite breading was thick and just fell off. The teriyaki was seasoned great.Portion sizes are huge. Several meals from the left overs. Service was good and the location was very clean.

My husband and I visited Sequim recently and we were looking for dinner one night. The smell outside Galare Thai was amazing, so we ducked on in. The young man seated us with menus and left. It was at this point that the owner (?) came out and told me that my service dog was not allowed inside the building. My dog was quietly tucked under our table asleep. I explained that a service dog is a piece of medical equipment and if he wouldn't throw me out for a wheel chair, he shouldn't throw me out for my service dog. He was still unsure so I provided him with an information card about service dogs and encouraged him to call the authorities. Finally, he gave up and let us order. I have to say the food here was very good, despite the rocky start! I ordered the Phad Thai and my husband ordered the Massaman Curry. Delish! The waiter was polite, but we definitely felt that everyone there wanted us to leave. They never even asked us if we wanted to order dessert! I wish that the staff at Galare was more familiar with the laws and rights of service dogs and their handlers. I wanted to like this place more, but I never really felt welcome.

We had dinner recently: hot and sour soup (OK, not as tasty as some locally--Dynasty), pot stickers (steamed and a bit underdone--I prefer pan fried, but only available steamed or deep fried according to the waiter), fried rice (OK), and Walnut Prawns (prawns were a little tough). All were acceptable, but none were outstanding. Simply not terrific. Service was good and attentive.
