It is situated about 340 kilometres (211 mi) north of state capital Bhubaneswar and is surrounded by a range of hills and encircled by rivers. The city is also popularly known as Ispat Nagar and also as the Steel City of Odisha. It has one of the largest steel plants of the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) known as Rourkela Steel Plant. It also has one of the National Institutes of Technology (NIT Rourkela) of the country. The city has been selected as smart city in the third phase of smart city list on 20 September 2016. Among all the 27 city list Rourkela ranked 12th position on merit basis. Every year, on 3 March Rourkela Day is celebrated. Rourkela was declared India's Fastest Moving City (East Zone 2-10 Lakh).

Food is usually good. Price is mid range or budget. You can try North Indian chaat, Pani Puri. Specialty is Cholle Bhature, Roll and Fish / Chicken chaap. Kebabs good too

Have been dining in Khana Khazana for quite a while, they provide decent service, the waiters communicate well. The food is quite okay according to pricing, but sometimes you might find it costly. A Good place to dine with friends and family.

5th April! Temperatures had gone up.had a horrible experience. In 30ft x 40ft roomthet had only one Air conditioner. Instead of enjoying food,we were pespiring,Though thefood was good.The managent have to look into this,otherwise in hot Rourkela condition it would be very difficult to satisfy customers.I was really sorry for this review as I had introdiced this restaurant to Trip advisor.
