At first I was put off by the extensive menu but was quickly charmed by the attentive professional staff. And then the food started coming out - everything was superb.The Peri-Peri Chicken Liver appetizer is a must as is the grilled calamari. We shard and tasted entree items from a Chicken Curry to Barramundi fish with vegetables to Lamb Chops and Salmon Poke Bowl - each was delicious The only reason Iâm not giving it 5 stars is that the food all came out too quickly. Before we could finish appetizers the entrees were arriving and it felt rushed. An interesting problem in South Africa where many restaurants are known for poor and slow service.....The place has a great vibe and is packed or a reason - they deliver good food at a great price!

Great experience at this Japanese restaurant. The food was amazing. The authenticity of was way the food was served was worth the visit. If you are looking for something different you have found it. Great way to socialize with friends or family as you sit around the table, chatting whilst dipping you food taken from either the hot pot or the grill, into a bowl with the sauces you have prepared or chosen. Our waitress Gertrude was very efficient and friendly and took us through the steps on how to prepare and eat our food. Great view over Rivonia to top it off!

My lovely wife and I have been to the Fire Room before and loved it. On this occasion we were seated upstairs and ordered 2 starters to share. They came within a few minutes and were great. We then ordered sushi for our main course - and waited - and waited despite chasing up on the order. After nearly an hour we had to cancel the order as we were now running late for a show. The bill and our sushi arrived at the same time! The manager on duty suggested they would keep our sushi until after the show or we could have our starters and wine on the house. We refused both offers and quickly paid for the wine and starters. The manager on duty saved the day by handling the situation so very well. We will be back!

Japa is the best! All food is carefully prepared. Broth soups are made from scratch, hence the flavour is second to none. The quality of the seafood is incredible. My pallet loves these well-balanced dishes, as strange as the seaweed salad sounds it is amazing and very good for you. If you want to try authentic traditional Japanese this is THE place.

A pleasant ambiance and environment and friendly staff but extremely slow service despite the restaurant being relatively quiet. We ordered dim sum - fried/steamed chicken and spinach filling. Spring rolls were sour - they apologized after complaining. Main meals: green and red curry hot with coconut rice and pad Thai. The service leaves much to be desired - once meal is served, nobody enquires whether one is satisfied with the meals. On checking the bill, we were charged for the sour spring rolls despite being told we would not. In all, meals were relatively tasty but the service and follow-up non-existent. Deeply disappointing indeed.

While our absolute favorite sushi restaurant is Erawan, we are regulars at Yamada because it is a good restaurant if you want to have a quick sit down at the rotating sushi belt, or order from one of the friendly waitrons / servers. The prices are based on the color of the plate so you know what you are in for. The quality of the sushi is superb and they have some unusual selections such as the deluxe hand roll with cucumber on the outside instead of the usual seaweed. It's also a great take away restaurant. In addition to the a la carte / plate prices, there are sushi buffet specials which are worth the price.

Go to Saravana for some great south Indian Vegetarian food. You have to try the Thali.Yumm. Their Dosa is fantastic and reminds one of meals served in Chennai India.

We had a brilliant Sunday lunch at Saigon, with the in-laws who had never had Vietnamese before.The pho soup was an absolute stunner! Followed by the ginger chilli fish and the pork ribs.I would highly recommend our waiter Remember, he knew the menu backwards, could answer any of our questions and was anyways around if and when we needed them.Not a cheap day out, but one you won't forget soon. Go to this place!
