Wonderful fragrant and delicate food served by exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly staff.Very generous portions of outstanding food and will suit all palates as the heat and spice can be easily adjusted.Only one small caveat itâs very noisy and not great if you want to have a good conversation so we just let the food do the talking and it succeeded really well.Heartily recommended and will be returning to try out more from the varied menu

A rather unprepossessing restaurant with a name that sounds more Mexican than Chinese offering a weekday lunchtime (Monday, Wednesday, Saturday) all you can buffet menu at the staggering low price of £5.95 per head. I have walked by this place on numerous occasions but finally my friend and I thought we would give it a try. Not the most glamorous of settings but the food was extremely tasty with plenty of variety. The cost covers a selection of Chinese starters, mains and desserts and one can visit the buffet as many times as they wish. Staff are very pleasant and welcoming. We visited on a Monday and the restaurant was fairly busy with a steady stream of customers. Not surprising with such a good value offer. It would be hard to leave Mexica either hungry or impoverished. Note, this restaurant only accepts cash payment.

Had a takeaway from here and I have to say it was probably the best curry Iâve had. I live behind the Indian sizzler and new shapla but the spice lounge knocks the socks off them.

Went here about 10 days ago for a family meal out. Flavours lovely, we all enjoyed our starters and main course. The restaurant was quiet but a nice atmosphere. Definitely we will return.

This visit was for three adults on a busy Friday evening. Parking was available at the front of the building. There was a large party in the rear area and we were found a quiet table at the front, and we were able to look into the kitchen.We found the whole experience excellent. Our waiter was attentive without being intrusive. The food was very tasty, not your usual, 'base sauce with extras thrown in'. We could watch it all being cooked fresh. My wife's king prawns were slightly undercooked, but this was quickly rectified with apologies (however, lost one 'star'). The chicken dishes were perfect, as were the vegetables.Good selection of drinks.We will certainly put this on the 'go again' list.Dear Richard, Thank you for your detailed review, we value your feedback :-) Apologies again for the undercooked prawns and we have noted this down to ensure it does not happen again. Brought to the Thai Orchid by Friends whilst visiting from Wales, as soon as you walk in the door your greeted by very friendly staff, the restaurant is well lit, as spacious Llys set out as youâd wish, very comfortable seating fantastic ambiance, attentive servers and a menu to satisfy all, but then the food, absolutely delicious, as tasty as can be, hoped for a nice evening with nice food, had an awesome time with the nicest Thai food Iâve ever tasted, and had many a Thai meal, for sure our next visit this way will include a visit back at the Thai Orchid, 10/10 from start to finish.

A few of us went to this restaurant last Sunday and went for their fixed price set lunch menu. We were given a warm welcome by the manager/ owner, and promptly served our drinks. There was plenty of choice on the menu, and we didnât have long to wait for our food to be served. It arrived well presented, nice and warm and absolutely delicious. Portions were of a good size too. We were well looked after and drinks were replenished as requested. We were even given a doggy bag to take home what we were unable to eat! This is the first time we have been to this restaurant, and I was extremely impressed. I should also add that is was very good value. We will certainly be returning, and I would certainly recommend.

We just dropped in here on our way home after a recommendation. Itâs basically an Indian restaurant in a pub. Food and service were excellent. If I lived local to here I would be a regular.

I love this restaurant and am certainly not the only person to feel this way, judging by the full tables and happy faces! My meal was superb!We started off with money bags, small pastry cases filled with spicy flavours and coloured vegetables. We also chose Khanom Jeeb, delicious dumplings to die for! On the specials menu we chose âstreet foodâ a heavenly soup with spring onions, duck, noodles, etc. I cannot tell you how tasty this was and absolutely perfect for an evening meal. All in all a very satisfying dinner and we cannot wait to return!
