Reviews on Asian food in Port Moresby, Papua Region, Papua New Guinea. Port Moresby (/ˌpɔːrt ˈmɔːrzbi/; Tok Pisin: Pot Mosbi), also referred to as Pom City or simply Moresby, is the capital and largest city of Papua New Guinea and the largest city in the South Pacific outside of Australia and New Zealand. It is located on the shores of the Gulf of Papua, on the south-western coast of the Papuan Peninsula of the island of New Guinea. The city emerged as a trade centre in the second half of the 19th century. During World War II it was a prime objective for conquest by the Imperial Japanese forces during 1942–43 as a staging point and air base to cut off Australia from Southeast Asia and the Americas.

One of the best kept secrets within the Savannah heights, a friendly restaurant and cafe, comprises mainly Chinese, Korean food and over looking the vision city and main waigani area especially the commercial areas. The prices are quite expensive for dining out, Better off going to other restaurants but if you want to enjoy the view, this is the right place. No free Wi-Fi, sorry.

Nice restaurant for a quick bite to eat. Has a lot of seating and secure car park. Food selection is extensive but mainly Asian/Malaysian fusion you can get all your Asian favourites laksa, mi goreng, curry etc. price is very affordable also

Not a great neighbourhood but don't let that put you off visiting this interesting restaurant. Thais might be surprised by the items on the Thai menu (I think it's code for generic Asian) but the Korean one seemed authentic enough. The food from both menus was good even if the service was sluggish (we got one dish and rice quickly and then the other dishes appeared after we had finished the first even though they were all ordered as mains).

My wife and I visited imperial restaurant for lunch last 17/4 and the food and service was good. We ordered the spicy prawns, crispy egg plants and mixed veges with rice. The portion was good, excellent presentation and taste good too. Well done to the Chef, and the service team Sally and Raymond.

This is by far my most favoured restaurant for crabs and lobster. I would recommend Malay style chili and salt and pepper. Call them prior to going to make sure thay have crabs available. 3233918 or 71980505

Another pleasant meal here with friends. Although the service was slower than usual the food quality is still very good and they use all the right Japanese sauces to go with it. I find the place however becoming a little tired looking due to poor maintenance of the restaurant. Besides that can't companies about decent Japanese food in a place like Port Moresby

It's a pretty well known restaurant and has been for the 7 years that my parents have lived in Port Moresby
The staff were very helpful and although Gluten Free wasn't marked on the menu they went out of their way to provide a lovely meal. Portions excellent!
