Had lunch with friends, and we all went for the set lunch menu. The food was absolutely delicious, the staff friendly and helpful, and the restaurant atmosphere was very nice. Would have loved to try their dinner service as well. I would definitely visit again, and would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Do not pass this place.... we were turned away from another Chinese nearby and were so glad they did! The noodles are to die for.. I had prawn and vegetable and my partner had chicken and they were so fresh and tasty and filling just a perfect balance of flavours.. super quick service as well.. it's not a 5 star surrounding but don't let that put you off it's a gorgeous little gem!!

This Japanese restaurant is conveniently located in front of a cinema (and therefore takes advantage of the Wifi - which I couldnt log in ...). The atmosphere is pretty nice as they locate the tables well, therefore whether you come in 1 or 50, there are enough places for you to have your own privacy while enjoying your meal.We (3 people) ordered a set of sushi boat and 2 plates of yakitori along with 2 miso soups and 2 bowls of rice (50euros) and some desserts (5-6,5euros for each). The miso soup was a big disappointment because they put too much onion, NO tofu at all, and 2 thin slides of mushroom make no sense at all. The seaweed seems dead floating around the bowl. Seriously you can buy instant miso soup and it is better than this. The miso soup goes out along with some pickled cabbage too. However my advice is to eat this cabbage with the grilled meat sticks later on. The next one is the sushi boat. Well, for a person who tries sushi for the 1st time, it might be good. For someone like me who have tried many places of sushi, the boat has some small problems. To me, the fish is not really really fresh because it doesng really melt down in your mouth. It feels slighty chewy (not that kind of gum chewy) and that is not a good sign. Probably I came on Jan 2, which is right after the holiday so they couldnt find a better source of fish? Also there is not enough pickled ginger, but you may ask for more (free) I guess. Next course is the Yakitori!! There are 5 sticks on each plate: salmon, tuna, beef, meat ball made of pork, and the last one I dont remember :P They cook in such a way that both meat and fish are cooked thoroughly but so so soft, yet there is crunchiness outside. Tr taste of teriyaki sauce is absorbed into the meat so so nice. My favourite is definitely the meat ball stick. It is incredibably soft and tasty, and if you eat it with the rice and a bit of pickled cabbage, the crunchiness of cabbage along with the softness of rice and significant taste of the meat balls - they all make a harmony and bring you to the heaven (well at least for me it was true!). We ordered some desserts but none of them are quite good, except for chocolate icecream if you are a choco-addict with high percentage of cacao, and the green tea icecream. Still, too pricy for eh-eh desserts there. Save money and go to Amarino for some nice icecream there. The staffs were nice, polite and quick even there are only 3 waiters. You can go there and buy for take-aways too. In general, for the price of that set, we were pretty satisfied.

Frankly, the decor here is nothing to write home about. It's very expensive too.But you know what? It's worth it.The portions are HUGE.The food is carefully prepared, and delicious. The sashimi is excellent quality, as is the 'miso' soup... which is actually like a shrimp flavored Chinese soup.Startling, but DELICIOUS (although rather salty). The portions are so big that it's almost a turn-off, ironically. The waitress made the whole experience. She smiles and laughs constantly, and is obviously SINCERE. If she was a waitress in the US she would get 25% tips. She's charm personified.Warning: they only take two 'tickets restos' per person, if you choose to go that route. Also: 5⬠per beer is too much, but they are forgiven, because it's impossible to leave this place without a full stomach and a smile on your face.A winner.

We are not Chinese food experts but the food was pretty good. Decent size portions and reasonably prized. Excellent, friendly service and a nice atmosphere. Both the porc au caramel and poulet l'ananas were quite good and the cantonese rice very tasty. Would go there again.

HUTONG Restaurant will re-open on the 16th of July for lunch (12:15 to 2:30). All the classics from the streets of Singapore to Bordeaux: Chicken Rice, Laksa Lemak, Bak Kut Teh, Chicken satays...
Just back from visiting Singapore & missing the food courts & street food, especially Hainanese Chicken Rice so we headed to Hutong when visiting Bordeaux yesterday & were not disappointed, the Ravioli in Black vinegar soy sesame sauce was exceptional. We will be back. First rate service & loved the Iced Chrysanthemum tea

Vietnamese cuisine is in fine form in Pessac as Franceâs colonization of Indochina continues to pay dividends no longer from slave labour or crippling taxes but thru south-east Asian flavours, spices & that red Asian gold that is chilli. Offering something different, the Saigon-inspired menu includes Vietnamese staple dishes presented with a slight modern twist from a place far far away. Inside is an interesting mess of Asiatique nic-nacs, photos, paintings & postcards, a chaotic sight with a subtle south-east Asian vibe, I liked this family restaurant as soon as I stepped in. Hidden away, far off the tourist trail amongst a suburban neighbourhood, the Binh Duong Restaurant has survived for over 10 years giving the restaurant some good credibility. The chef seemed to know many of his customers & was generous with his time with us recalling interesting tales about his experiences & charming us with his good nature. He even shouted us a free Vietnamese beer, an imported 333 from Saigon to âshare good timesâ as we say in Vietnamese. Strangely missing from this restaurantâs Vietnamese menu is the essential Pho noodle soup & Vietnamese filtered coffee but the buzz from the imported Vietnamese beer somewhat makes up for it, hi five. The chefâs wife & sister run the kitchen giving the food an authentic home-style flavour, that womanâs touch only mothers know how to do with the chef putting in the finishing touches. One of the best things was it wasnât expensive here unlike those tourist restaurants so thereâs definitely room to try something exotic. On-site parking was limited but we found plenty of space within 20 metres on Rue du Bearn so it wasnât an issue. The chefâs assistant speaks English & I was able to pay via credit card without any surcharge. We visited Pessac during a mid-week lunch service & didnât book ahead although in future I would probably pre-book just in case. Stumbling upon the Binh Duong restaurant outside Bordeaux made for a delicious memory. Regards to the chefs!
