My wife had read about this restaurant so we agreed that when the opportunity presented itself to try it out, we would. Tonight was the night.We entered and waited about 5-8 minutes before we were seated, although there were many empty tables visible. Once seated, we were given menus, a pot of tea, and then left to decide what we wanted. My wife and I agreed on getting the egg rolls and splitting them and then pondered what to try- beef, chicken, shrimp, scallops, lobster? So, we chose the "Happy Family", which includes all those things plus vegetables. We closed our menus, set them on the edge of the table, and waited. And waited. It seemed like they had three people to handle the dining area- one at the entrance handling phone and takeout orders, one to bus the tables and seat people, and one waitress. After about 10-15 minutes the waitress made the rounds of the tables and finally came to us and took our order, informing us that the "Happy Family" did not come with rice so we ordered one portion of pork-fried rice to share.After that, the food came out reasonably fast and it was very good. The portion size of everything together was just right for the two of us. Cost with tax before tip was $41.97; that was with two soft drinks and the usual fortune cookies.Overall- the food quality was top notch (we do not eat a lot of Chinese food and this was among the best we had had); they definitely needed at least one more waitperson for a Saturday night.

It doesn't have the same magic as before, but it does have a sushi bar now! The food is good, especially considering the local and lack of competition. Have not tried the sushi yet but happy to have that in the neighborhood now.

My first time going here and it was great! Pork fried rice was full of vegetables, pork, and egg. The chicken dishes are made with all white meat. They are also msg free! Great food for take our or dinning in.

Whenever we are on vacation at Lake Winnipesaukee, we always go to East of Suez. Part Philippine cuisine, part Thai, all parts East of Suez...all delicious. Every dish is deliciously seasoned. Our family had 7 different entrees...the Philippine âAdoboâ is life changing... a combination of chicken thighs and tender pork chunks in a sauce that will make you want to lick the bowl. Itâs served with rice and sliced bananas, itâs perfection in a bowl. Make sure you make reservations because this place is well-loved by the locales and wannabes. Itâs their 51st year in Wolfeboro...I wish them another 51 years !
