The Pinancle of Malaysian cuisine served by friendly staff. Unique decor with high ceiling. We are open 7 days a week.
I have been to this restaurant many time in the past and have noticed the portion sizes continually decreasing. This last time was the worst. The Malaysian Curry was 1/2 the size it used to be, and also the Pineapple Seafood Fried Rice was also 1/2 the size it used to be. On top of that the price slightly increased! The portion sizes USED to resemble the photos. Not anymore. The value for your dollar is no longer here.

Amazing freshly made hand shaved noodles. You think Italians know their pasta? Did you forget they took it from the Chinese! (Just a joke.) This place is amazing. You won't go wrong with anything they have on the menu. Also, ask for their recommendations! It's default spicy, so make sure you ask for it neutral if you can't handle the heat!

We ate here a lot of times and we love it. You get a bowl and fill it up with your choice of food offered and give it to them to make in front of you. You can choose a regular bowl or "all you can eat" which is definitely worth it if you're really hungry because it costs less than $15 plus you get rice and soup. You also get rice and soup with the regular bowl. The staff is friendly and the rest of the prices are great as well. Drinks are cheaper then elsewhere.

Decent Hong Kong style food, menu is quite extensive with chef special according to seasonal veggies available. Street parking & limited parking on the side of the restaurant is available. They are known for their potstickers- do not leave the restaurant until you order their pan fried potstickers- my favourite is pork which comes with a dipping sauce if sweet pinkish colour vinegar. Lots of noodles & rices dishes with lunch & dinner special menu- they have vegetarian dishes too. Something for everyone. Their congee is pretty good. Service is good & staff are friendly, they speak English & one of the regular staff speaks Spanish too. You will not leave disappointed.

I generally have low expectations for Sushi/Japanese places in and around Vancouver; so many are not run by folks from Japan, and so many have limited menus. So when a friend said "let's meet at Ki Sushi, just outside the New Westminster Expo Line station, I was a bit doubtful. But this was a great place, with exceptional service, a really extensive menu, food well prepared and delicious. We all had different meals -- my soft-shell crab and Yaki Soba with chicken were as good as I've ever had, including restaurants in Japan; the sushi and soup and goma-ae and other foods were equally well-prepared and yummy. And best of all, the servers were from Japan, so we got to chat with them in Japanese about their suggestions, and to enlist their help.I can't wait to go back here again. The menu includes all kinds of items, both hot and cold, and I know if Ki Sushi were closer to home I'd be here all the time. Total price for a great, filling meal, under $20 CAD per person.

Tough place to find as the signage is quite inconspicious but well worth the find. Nice ambience, clean and comfortable, service was efficient, could do with a few more smiles. We had the Pad Prig Khing Gai, (stir fried chicken with Prig Khing red chilli paste), Drunken Noodles (Thick rice noodle stir-fried with mix vegetables and house chili sauce.) and Green Papaya Salad. The Papaya salad could do with a little less sugar, otherwise not bad. The other two dishes were well presented tasty, good portion size and quality. I found, unlike other Thai restaurants e.g. Thai Basil; they were also generous with their meat and vegetables. The vegetables were not over cooked but done just right. Unfortunately, to stay in business, ethnic restaurants have to cater to the North American taste buds, I feel theyâve done pretty well so far and hope it doesnât change too much.

For those of you who havenât been to the River Market in New West (formerly known as New West Quay), you might be surprised at the quality of restaurants located in this place. In addition to Freebird Chicken Shack, Chef Angus An has a Thai restaurant at River Market that specializes in Thai street food.I revisited Longtail Kitchen back in late November (on 2 consecutive days) and tried some of the lunch specials. If youâre looking to see some of the other food that Iâve had here, check out our previous posts here and here.First up is their Boat Noodles ($12) with beef balls, sliced beef, and crisp pork crackling. The rich and deep flavourful beef broth clung to the rice vermicelli noodles making for a perfect noodle pull picture. The broth had a slight heat to it and the crisp pork crackling added to the textural contrast to the toothsome noodles. The following day, I ordered the Pad Ka Prao ($12) which is a holy basil stir-fry.The free range chicken was stir-fried with crunchy green beans, garlic, and holy basil. And just take a look at that beautifully fried egg on the rice⦠nice runny yolk porn when you pop the yolk.I returned in late December for their Three Flavour Chicken Wings cooked up with wild ginger, crunchy green beans, baby corn, and jasmine rice ($12).The chicken wings were nice and juicy on the inside as the meat was encased in a flavourful, caramelized coating that was slightly crisp to the bite and sticky as you picked them up.On a subsequent visit, the lunch special happened to be Boat Noodles again but I felt like trying something that I havenât had here before⦠hence my order of Mee Goreng ($11).This noodle dish was tasty⦠mixed in with the rounded yellow noodles were chunks of potatoes, tomato halves, shredded chicken, and crispy bits all coated with a savory sauce. For something a bit more down-to-earth, the simple Stir-fried Gai Lan and Pork Belly ($12) is pleasing with a surprisingly good amount of heat. The firm pork belly chunks had a nice caramelization and the gai lan were snappy to the bite.Generally, itâs not overly busy here but during my last visit, there was a large group of diners that took up almost the whole restaurant. Still, one of the better options for Thai street food in New West.

I recently went there to have Christmas lunch with a friend and found it quite an enjoyable experience. The food was tasty and very reasonable... Service was reasonably prompt and friendly. The biggest problem was parking... It took my friend 1/2 hour to find a place to put her car.
