This was our first visit to Takuma but it will not be the last. Interesting menu--not extensive, but quality. My wife and I enjoyed our meals, service was good. I really liked the atmosphere. Parking can be a challenge as they are competing with commuters adjacent to the train station. Location is central, however. Also, note that you must bring your own wine or beer.

11 friends and I went to Summit Thai on a Tuesday evening in December. We were the only patrons. The restaurant had no other diners and did not have any take-out customers. Food: Inauthentic & over cooked. We ordered several appetizers. I tasted the curry puff and the egg roll. Both were over-fried and as a result tasted like oil soaked mush. A friend and I split the Tamarind Duck and Drunken Noodles. Others in our party ordered the Peanut Chicken, another duck dish, a few curries, etc. My meal of duck and Drunken Noodle was terrible. The duck was over fried which left the skin very crispy but the duck dried out. The vegetables with the Tamarind Duck were barely cooked, not slightly cooked so that they would be warm, but still crunchy - pretty much raw. The Drunken Noodles were just disgusting. The chicken was over cooked and dry. The noodles obviously were reheated in the microwave - not freshly cooked rice noodles drizzled in oil as one expects. Also there was no kick or spice to the Drunken Noodle. I love Thai food and my mother is of SE Asian descent: THIS IS NOT GOOD SE ASIAN FOOD. Service: our party of 12 were the only diners in the restaurant. When we wanted to place our appetizer order, we had to summon our servers twice. When we wanted to place our dinner order, we had to summon our servers. They provided water for the table regularly. Around 9:15 PM the "mood" lights were turned off and the brighter lights were turned on - instead of a server coming to our table and reminding our party that they close at 9:30 PM we got the "light" treatment. Atmosphere: A very small dining room with very dated authentic Thai decor.

Went on a Saturday night mid-July about 6:45.. seated immediately and had attentive service through out the meal. We each had something different and we're all satisfied with our choices. Would go to this place again. Very Satisfied

It was opened on Christmas Day! Loads of people in the restaurant...fresh sashimi, sushi, tempura, chicken and beef teriyaki. Seafood platter and many sushi type rolls. Its delicious and yum! Place has a sushi bar and sittings not too large an area. One needs reservations. Price is mid to high range, dependent on the quality of food ordered.

This place is soo inconsistent. Some days they take Amex and other days they say NO. Their staff is constantly changing. Service in their restaurant is awful. One person gets their dish and twenty minutes later the next person gets their meal Terrible. And don't even try to order take out on the phone. They will you on hold and treat you shabby. I WILL NOT HERE AGAIN

This is the best Chinese place in this area. The food is alway delicious and it has a nice environment. My family and I recently discovered this place and we have been going often for the past few months. The bathroom is newly remodeled and the service is decent.

The menu is very large and complicated if you are not familiar with all kinds of asian foods. Sadly, our server, from Central America, really couldn't give us the kind of information we needed to make an educated choice, so some of our entrees were disappointing--because they were not what was expected. In addition, they refused to serve a side of noodles, instead of white rice, when they clearly have noodles available since there are dishes made with noodles. Poor customer service, in my opinion. Otherwise, nice decor, reasonable prices, nicely prepared food, pretty good value for money.

First visit to this restaurant on a special Jazz night. Two sets, house was full because it is not very large. Food was above average, expensive for Chinese cuisine, but no cover and no minimum for the set of jazz by well established performers. Nice to enjoy jazz so close to home without hassle.
