An affluent suburb of New York City, the hamlet is located 18 miles (29 km) north of the city at its closest point, Riverdale, Bronx. Within Rockland County, New City is located north of Bardonia, northeast of Nanuet, east of New Square and New Hempstead, south of Garnerville and Haverstraw village, and west, straight across Lake DeForest, of Congers. This restaurant has become a frequent choice for my husband and I after a trip to the movies. The food is fresh, delicious and nicely presented. Staff is attentive. And it's always fun to sit in one of the booths next to the fish tanks.

We had a variety of dishes at lunchtime that included two different kinds of soup, some salads, and avocado smoothie shakes for dessert. Good food from a large menu, and all made to order. A small place, but worth your trouble to find it and try it out.

Let's just say that here in New City, we are "well endowed" when it comes to sushi restaurants. My daughter recommended Kobe to me, having become a regular customer this summer with her friends. I agree - the sushi is very nice. Pleasant service, fresh ingredients, some fun rolls. I will return.

Seems like they change their chef.. My son loved this place before and we go there when we crave for Chinese food. Last time food was tasteless and seems more like take out food...Have not gone back since.

I usually grab sushi to go from here for lunch and the staff have always been pleasant. The food is fresh and the sushi chef always gives me a giant temaki whenever I go to pick up food! It's a small quaint place, but legit sushi.

Monday night appeared to be quiet and we were quickly brought to the hibachi table. This location has booths and tables for non hibachi food. The hibachi dinner includes soup, salad, shrimp appetizer, rice, and choice of main, steak, chicken, fish. I chose a combo of steak and scallops, as steak and chicken was chosen by others. The wait time for the chef was long as there was only one working this night and he was cooking at the table before us. The staff was kind to apologize fort the wait and offered us a free appetizer. Finally the chef arrived after restocking supplies and began the process of cooking. He jungled his utensils, made a fire trail, and an onion volcano. When he used saki in cooking, we received "saki bomb". He squeezed the tube of saki into our mouths from a distance. Tasty good fun. Throughout the process it was interesting to see him cook the food. At the end it was all very good. The restaurant is clean and staff is friendly.

Thank you very much Ron , restaurant manager for the great customer service!!!! You really did above and beyond It was my first time here. Itâs located in the 3rd floor of Time Warner , accessible place. You can do walk in or according to Ron , they have a special table for special occasion. So , I am very appreciative of his time and great info about the restaurant it can fill up very quickly for lunch. So many fall in line that Sunday. I love the food choices and delicious desserts,They served us special desserts free for the birthday celebrant thank you very much Ron I highly recommend this place!!!
