Called in on the off chance for a table for four. Had the set meal for four, great service, delicious food and good portions! Plenty for four people to eat! House wine (Pinot) decently priced and a good palate. Friendly staff and nice comfortable seating.

The whole experience is magnificent. Carefully crafted, beautifully presented, well executed dishes: seasoned, spiced and garnished with precision The 3 dining rooms are very calm and well staffed. As expected the wine list is very diverse and the cellar is in-view from the dining rooms.

We come here every time we visit the lakes. It never disappoints.This time i had the Chicken Pathia. Oh my God it was amazing. The best I have ever had!The service is always great.One constructive suggestion I would make. The white wine didn't compliment the spices.The Pinot Grigio we had on our last visit was much superior.But keep up the good work. Superb

I just cannot praise this restaurant enough!! We were on holiday in Windermere & decided on something different for a change-it was the best decision ever made!! Every single dish was just full of flavour! Iâm a vegetarian so went for the Thai yellow curry with tofu & sticky rice,we also had starters. I can quite honestly & easily say itâs the best meal I have EVER had!!Since we got back,itâs all Iâve wanted to eat,trying to recreate it at home but itâs impossible!! We honestly canât wait to go back,fantastic,mouthwatering food!!

Beautiful setting with lovely gardens. Food is a Far Eastern fusion with amazing flavours. All plates are sharing even soups which come in smaller bowls. Good house wine by the carafe. The ambiance is great with lots of space and attentive staff.

Ate here on our first night in Bowness. We were greeted by a lovely female member of staff who escorted us upstairs then explained the menu, writing down our choices , then waving the fan to alert the staff we were ready to order. The food arrived promptly. It was delightful, full of flavour, good size portions and hot. Lovely food that didn't cost an arm and a leg. Visited with my wife pre booked a table arrived and was seated promptly!! Shared duck pancakes and my wife had veggie masaman and I had chicken absolutely lovely food and very surprised to see any reviews that are unhappy with the food because itâs brilliant!!! Had a lovely meal at Shahibâs whilst staying for one night in Bowness. The food was delicious and came to our table sizzling hot. The staff were very friendly and polite, and even packed our leftovers for us to enjoy at home. We recommend fully Shahibâs for anyone who loves authentic Indian food.

What I liked initially about this restaurant was the immaculate bar and restaurant area, absolutely gleaming. The staff were very chatty and friendly and the takeaway food was excellent. Definitely worth paying cash to get 20% discount which probably has a link to VAT exemption for not eating in but more than happy to have had £8 deducted from the takeaway menu price whatever the reason.I'd recommend the takeaway food and will be trying the restaurant next time we visit bowness.
